Review *new* (2003) 2 Fast 2 Furious w/Paul Walker and Tyrese.

When I heard about this movie, I wanted to throw up as even though I am one of the few people who liked The Original, I didn't want to see them make a sequel. If you remember the original starred Paul Walker who plays undercover cop Brian O'Conner who was assigned to bring down electronics thieves in the form of Vin Diesel, who became untouchable price wise after this movie, and he was smart to pass up on the sequel.

Paul Walker returns as a former cop, he quit his job so to speak at the end of the original, but comes back to team up with his ex-con pal, Roman Pearce, played by Tyrese as undercover agents who team up with a female undercover agent, played by the absolutely beautiful Eva Mendes to bring down a formidable drug trafficker named Carter Verone, played by Cole Hauser, in another bad guy role for him, who has eluded authorities.

So its the trios job to bring him down.

2 Fast Furious is an okay story, but i expected a lot more out of John Singleton as he has made far more superior movies, Boys n the Hood, Rosewood, and 2 Fast 2 Furious is ok.

The thing that makes the movie plausible and watchable is the custom cars they built for this film.

Even with the lousy story line, 2 Fast 2 Furious I would recommend only for the car action, and the non prescence of Vin Diesel.

2 Fast 2 Furious has not yet been rated and opens in theatres on June 6, 2003.

My rating: It gets a 6.5 out of 10.
Ludacris will play Taj, a friend of Walker's character.

thanks for the review though, i was forced to watch the original no less than 30 times at various parties and get togethers, i expect to be sitting through this until at least christmas

Hehe I expected nothing out of it...and never will watch it, after seeing how poor the first one was.

I personally hated the first film but have a lot of friends who really liked it. I didn't expect anything from the sequel and if you ask me NOT having Vin Diesel is a bonus. I'll probably see it...maybe on Ch5 in about 4 years while waiting for some softcore porn.

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" they ruined the skyline in the movie.. they put a APC sticker on it!!!! and hopefully there are none of those stupid ass civics.

how are u making reviews on movies u havent even seen and havent even come out yet. and wat do ya mean one of the few who liked the first one plenty of ppl liked the first one why do ya think they are makin a sequel. Dont Jugde Wat Ya Dont Know.

Hey dumbass..tons of people have seen this movie. Ever hear of film festivals? ever hear of pre-screenings? ever heard of a movie reviewer? dont EVER again make an assumption like that without knowing the facts n00b ..you're off to a bad start

Thats ok, son, I will comment to this newbie, since he obviously don't know who I am..

For the past eight years I have been a movie critic here in Hawaii, I have reviewed and seen almost every movie imaginable. I have seen more movies than you can imagine, and yes I have seen this movie a while back.

As for the other newbie who tried to call me out in other thread. You have to understand, as a critic who gets to screen these movie earlier than most. I live at the theatre where I get to pre screen a lot of these releases.

Also if you understand something, if you have a lot of money and make the right connections, most of these "Hollywood" films are screened by members of the Screen Actors Guild, Directors Guild and so forth.. And if you happen to be friends with this group, you get a lot of pre released screenings.

Movie critics are allowed to post their comments and thoughts, but many pre leased films, they are not allowed to give in detail, "spoilers" of the film, for the studios will cut their privilleges off.

Since I have been doing this as a service for a number of years, I continue to get "free screenings" and I report on them as I see fit.

As the movie gets closer to release, I sometimes give a second review, but from my first review, I usually never have anything to add, because I stand by what I rate the film, a lot of people prefer it that way.

Like most critics if you do not like what you read, that is fine, your option, you are allowed to critize, but never knock something you will never understand, unless you were in my shoes.

I do this as a courtesy to vcdquality, and I appreciate the spot they gave me.

sorry mate i thought u were just some lame ass makin reviews just from wat they read on websites like internet movie database and such. if u are actually seeing these movies and giving us these good reviews then ur a champ mate and soz bout before.

Just got back from the screening of this, and it was OK. Oppossed to MG i thought the movie kind of lacked from lossing the characters from the original. The ending totally setup for yet another one of these flicks, sigh
