Compared the sample with the videocd proper and this rls is definately better, doesn't flicker and sound is better, seems more cropped than the videocd but a better release overall.

props to videocd though for their rls!

OK wtf im I suppose to do with a fucked up angle movie? I doesnt matter how good the quality is if the angle is fucked. What what am I suppose to move my couch to the side of the screen to make up for the fucked up angle and watch leaning on one side of the couch. No so realease a good angle movies or dont release nothing at all.

maybe if the angle was anywhere near as bad as what you are describing. its not bad at all and most of the time i dont even notice it. everyone i asked would take this slight angle over the shit quality everyone else is releasing any day

excellent rls, a bit late tho (a few alrite ones already)

What is this? Have they installed a cam permanently under one of the chairs on the first row, or what's up?

Well, out of the two i would take the VideoCD release (not that you care, but i'll be taking a non TS/Cam of this movie) as it is much better quality than this.

The 'angle' is annoying albeit the colours are better on this than the VideoCD release. The sound is ok. Might have been my system but the audio sounded a little muffled to me.

Anywho, for the fourth release of this movie i say:

6/6/X

Once again, the angle ruins it...

Same old story, pic is sharp, colours are good, angle fucks the whole thing up.
I'm gonna stick with the videocd for this one, lil less colour, but a watchable pic.

Posted by HoldDaSalad on 04-14-2003 03:07 PM:

Why oh why the great ctp? You must get to the movies at least 20 minutes before the movie starts to get a decent seat. Is it me or is the angle in this film going back? like a perspective angle? start out wide then goes in time. Great colors, good sound, but fucked up angle makes for a no watch. oh well.

5being generous/8good sound/?still havn't watched it yet.

I never cared abt the blue tint like in videocds rls. But this bad angle stuff comin out latley is killin me. sure most of the time u dont notice it...but when u do its really annoying. At least this ctp is widescreen....nuthin worse then missin part of the pic because some ahole cropped it

5/7/? for ctp
7.5/7/? for videocd

Posted by tuwhitt_ on 04-14-2003 03:27 PM:

Smile Well..

Its all really a matter of opinion. I don't mind the blueish tint on the VideoCD, but wierd angles are annoying to me. I'm sure there are people who'd rather have a wierd angle than blue tint, and I respect their opinion. No need for arguing.

5.5/7/?

i agree, they have to have a cam in one spot in the theather and it dunt move, wat would it take them to just move the cam alil to stop the angle i mean they gotta go pick up the tape or memory card or wateva type of cam they using to get wat was recorded, all they gotta do is just move it and their releases will be just like they used to be

anyway this rls has good colors and sound just get rid of that angle is it would be fine

Posted by MinisterSiniste on 04-14-2003 03:43 PM:

Oh yeah, sorry to double post(as if I didn't run my mouth enough in the first one), but the VideoCD release is just fine without an angle. Hell I even enjoyed the MFP cam, although it was a lot dark and grainy. But what I really wanted to say was as far as the permanently installed camera, I disagree, because the angle clearly changes from release to release (compare hunted and Tears of the sun). As does the amount of zoom (FS head of state for instance). Good thought though.

don't know if you guys even saw the sample... cuz the angle isn't nearly as bad sas some of their other releases.

Posted by TRONS.NET on 04-14-2003 04:00 PM:

i agree with Rep

but a group as worldly wise as this

should not be releasing movies with a bad angle

seems to me that centropy should go back to school

all that these releases are doing for them is

getting there good name dragged through the dirt.

come on guys
get yer act together

Posted by petrocs on 04-14-2003 04:05 PM:

Dont know..even though the colors are better with this one I think the choice I'll make is to stick with the videocd..but thats just me..some of you may find this one a whole better release..if I like the movie I might dl this to compare fully

6/6/?

i'm stickin with videocd. don't mean to bitch about the angle but this is afterall a place to post the quality of the release. that means we are supposed to comment on the good and the bad things about them. and lets face it, this angle is by far and wide -not- a good thing. if thats the only way they can get good colors then so be it. i'm the kind of guy who'll show up to a movie 1 hour early if i have to just to get a perfect seat. nothing bugs me more than a bad angle.

VideoCD v.s Centropy...
Hmm...well, this will most likely be the only time you hear me say this, but I'm going with the VideoCD. Props.
Centropy did what they normally do, give us great audio combined with great color but some kind of negative, such as a bad angle or a blue tint. They are still a great group. Good Job. I'm not gonna comment on the bad angle.
