Inconsistencies in Pirates of Caribbean (BEWARE SPOILERS ooooooooh)
Well I liked the movie it was fun. It was predictable because I figured Jack Sparrow was undead as well from the beginning.
Anyways, did anyone notice a lot of inconsitencies with Jack being undead?
For one thing, I think he would have noticed himself if he was ever out at night.
What about the whole Captain wanting to eat an apple but couldn't thing? Jack was eating an apple in front of him. So if he was dead too wouldn't he not be able to eat the apple as well?
I believe one of the English would have noticed him turn into a skeleton at the end of the movie when they are planning to ambush the pirates in the cabe.
That's all I got for now. Just wondering if anyone else found this odd or to set me straight or something (I missed some important explanations in the theatre because of the people next to me chomping on sunflower seeds).
Btw, did anyone else hope that Orlando Bloom's character would die. His final line of the movie was awful too. He's one ugly SOB as well.
what you must of missed is at the end of the movie when jack was in the cave, he stole a coin. Because he stole one of the cursed coins he became cursed, so he was not cursed throughout the movie, he just stole the coin to become immortal for the fight.
No he only turned undead before he started fighting barbaros when he took a coin out of the chest is when he began to be cursed not thorugh the whole movie

aaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!
that makes so much sense.. i blame the horses chomping on sunflower seeds next to me for missing critical parts of the movie
Nah I didn't wish death on the Bloom character, he was a pretty decent hero type guy. The ladies like him too, so I guess that blows your uglyness theory outta the water. I did wish death on the lead girl in that movie though, she was a pretty lousy actress...if hot as hell.
Actually scratch that, they should have killed everyone in the movie except for Depp and made the movie just about Jack Sparrow.
yep only sparrow would have been nice
shouldn't elizabeth had the curse as well because she stole annoying boy's medallion?
I guess you could argue that she didn't steal it, rather that she was holding it for him because she thought he'd be exposed as a pirate. His father was the original thief and since he was dead, that got passed onto Bloom.
she did steal it though... she never gave it back or even told him about it... didn't she eventually HAVE to tell him about it later on in the movie?
I think the whole point of the coins was not that you stole the coin, but that you removed it from its sacred chest. The possesion of the coin alone means nothing.

NO Inconsistencies...this movie was perfect all around. ALMOST any movie with Johnny Depp is an amazing movie

got a question:
the part where jack and the kid are under the canoe, and submerged. is that possible? to have that air under there even with all the water surrouned?
and
i think i missed it but how did jack escape the island when he got kicked of the first time.

...Q2. Yes, but they never showed it in the movie just talked about it.
I actually think that it is possible to use the canoe as a type of air chamber. You can simulate this with filling yoru sink full of water and then get a cup and push it under the water with the bottom straight up. There will be air trapped under it, but with something as large as a canoe would be hard to submerge at exactly the same time. Oh well, i have seen much more unrealistic stuff in a james bond movie.
thruout the movie jack said he got off the island by sea turtles (or something utterly crazy) at the end you found out he made a deal with sailers who stored their rum on the island, and it wasn't the heroic escape he made it out to be.

The curse only happens if you steal more than one of the coins... Jack picked up a whole bunch out of the chest before he turned undead. Thats the reason why the girl and bloom weren't undead - - the only had one coin.
