Nice rip, shame the movie sucks ass

9/9/5

Posted by garagekru on 08-11-2003 12:27 PM:

nice work

nice and clean encode no pixlation at all and good bitrate

9/9/7

not to bad a film, my lady liked it which keeps here happy

I think the quality is not quite up to dvdscr standards, quite a bit of noise in the picture, also some tearing effects appear (check the counter) maybe some slight interlacing problems?

video and audio are great by first 10 min of cd1, movie I didn't really care for, kinda funny in parts, but the wife loves it.

nice release, 9/9/7 movie was alright, and my g/f will probably want this downloaded

Posted by psyche on 08-11-2003 02:58 PM:

How can anyone rate the video higher than a 5-7 for this DVDSCR (oh yea! that's right, I forgot it was a CTP release). It's obvious that CTP used a bad deinterlacing filter instead of properly ivtc'ing this dvd which causes those fuzzy lines all over the video and the image itself did contain alot of mpeg blocks/noise for a DVDSCR (I'm assuming they took the fast route by using only 2 passes which leaves the video vulnerable to more mpeg blocks/noise and chose deinterlacing since it's faster than ivtc'ing). Audio is good, of course but movie sucks ass anyway so whatever. I don't want to be mean by saying that they should stick to SVCD TS's but they could have done a better job is all. 5/9/1

Video 6
Audio 6
Movie 3
Just enjoy it if you Must, ctp is first with this screener anyhow.

Very nice getting it out early, quality is decent. The movie blew ass though, ###### compared to the first one.

I keep seeing this movie getting nuked..and people ..speaking of errors..maybe you just got a bad download..mine is fine..just watching the whole movie to the end credits and no errors or problems... the movie was corny its a chick flick..or just something the ladies and some gents to like.

I liked it...thanks ctp..

8/ picture..too back for the mgm message and counter

9/ sound was excellent no complaints..
overall

8 for quickness and quality...

:: Stop preaching and don't ever use the phrase "if you can't do better..." -K::

Well you have to give Centropy props on this release. They beat everyone else to it. Although the video is messed up, ohh well. Hopefully they will do a repack for all of us Die Hard Legally Blonde 2 fans! (My self included) I'd say an A on effort, but in the end a C+ in product. Keep em coming ctp.

6.5/9/7

I don't think the source of the download or the speed really effects the quality of an official scene release. Btw, everyone who posts earlier are probably getting the releases from topsites directly couried from CTP so the source of their download isn't the problem for sure .

Rating as a DVD Screener (not like how the rest of you dumbasses do it)
3/6/?

Who gives a crap if they beat everyone to this release, many other groups out there beat other groups on releases. The video is jacked up for a DVD Screener, they shouldn't have rushed it is all I'm sayin'. If it was a mistakable error then sure I'd be more lenient, but you can tell it has bad ivtc off the bat. Stop jockin' people and judge the release as it was any other group, for example if this was VideoCD/NOX/rSe users would have a field day

Posted by Ubitsa on 08-11-2003 11:01 PM:

There's no way you could "accidentally" screw up the encoding the way CTP did. It's a pretty sad rls if you ask me, CTP must have ben experimenting with this flick or something. ^_^

if it were VideoCD/NOX/rSe what would they say?..."Ill wait for a centropy release" i cant blame em for dick ridin though (i love a good TCF release)

Posted by alpha_code on 08-12-2003 01:17 PM:

Video: nice color and pic with the occasional blocks/flicker

Sound: well...it was as good as u prolly get

Movie: chick flick..

Another good rls from ctp, but i agree that it could have been better for a dvd scr.lets see if TCF can match it or do better.

PS: For those of you with a life outside VCDQuality this was rlsed by Xvid.Diety b4 ctp and is a better all round rip (my 2 cents) -k
