from sample widescreen as all these academy screeners are picture seems ok not a first gen copy, but still good enough. Audio was pretty damn decent tho...i'd say 7/8/? maybe watch this over the weekend

Props on the Speed - hmm Not bad for a VHS Screener. Colors werent too sharp , widescreen as said which took the pixelation down a bit. This sounds ok , not great but its definatly watchable.

*shrug* guess someone was proud of their VHS Screener. Anyway Still havent seen this movie so gonna pick this up.

7/5/?

Oh yeah, this is a keeper. I'll probably be watching this for tonight.

Video: Widescreen, pixelisation, not that grainy. Most likely a 2nd gen dub, but I could be wrong. 8

Audio: Pretty damn schweet. No complaints, not that loud. 9.

Movie: Looks pretty damn Oscar worthy. ?

For the fucking love of G-d, make these screeners SVCD, they deserve it, they cry for it.

looks cropped, or at most a nasty as fuck AR. pretty poor picture quality too. the audio sounds like your listening to it through a wall with a glass held against your ear.

6/5/X

Shity, Shity, Shity, that is what explains this release.

Vid has some pixelation and the AR is kinda weird. Still a decent screener. Sound is pretty good IMO.

Thanks TDi.

Gah people need to stop getting second generation tapes. The quality on the first gen doesnt seem to be worth shit so why would they think using a copy to make a digitalized version would be a good idea? Also VHS needs to be converted to CVD because VHS clearly looks as tho if it where digital the bitrate would be somewhere around 1500-1600.

Do you think the groups really have any choice as to which generation tapes they get supplied with?

This happend when I tried this release on my TV that needs RF switch. To fix it, I just disconnect either the left or right channel cable from the RF switch. It'll work then.

Posted by dk- on 01-03-2004 09:14 PM:

why are some ppl saying good quality and other saying shitty this is useless to read these comments ... also mystic sleepers that sometimes *many times?* post comments after viewing the damn sample. fuck that.

Posted by lorddusty on 01-03-2004 10:00 PM:

Ok.. this is just too werid because when I play this release on my comp the sound is not too bad, when i take it out to the stand alone (connected to a reciever, not an rf swith?) the sound is way quiet and sounds like shite. The video definitelly tends towards pixelation, colors are pretty washed out.

6/7(when it works right)/8

Posted by M112_04 on 01-03-2004 10:11 PM:

ok but not great

This screener is ok..its better than the telesync's but its really poor..compared to the obus releases and tcf. Don't know where the source came from the video is grainy..and poor..
the sound is off..more out the right than the left..but loud..

rating from cd1
video 5...its pretty bad for a screener..
audio 6..its clear but just out of one side. other side real light
overall the movie is actually good..just need a better release to enjoy it..

Posted by bryehn on 01-03-2004 10:57 PM:

screeners in SVCD suck rocks, kids...CVD is the method of choice.

this is nothing like a TCF or OBUS screener, but watchable nonetheless. definately not a keeper. this one's a mount/watch/delete release. sounds fine on my PC.

6/8/?
