-- Around The World In 80 Days *SVCD* - TELESYNC - VideoCD (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=42073)

Colours are a bit saturated, also has some flicker and dark patches.

But the audio, as always, is superb.

Nice rls again from VideoCD. Shame this movie looks to have ruined the story.

Who the fuck puts the main character as the second billing to be superseeded by a 'nothing' character played by a now fading kung fu star?

Crap.

8/9

typical quality

typical video cd release looks and sounds very good
8/8/8 from sample

Hmmm..this movie was uhm...GREAT compared to 'The Medallion' - which was the last american (known) flick jackie did, and it sucked ass. I actually saw this one at the theater, so i won't be picking this release up. Normal VideoCD quality, although it is a little flickery..but it still can't get much better than this

8/8/6

video is a little flickery from the sample. but its still far and away the best there is. audio cant be any less than a 10, i dont think its possible for a ts to have a better audio source than dts disks haha.

9/10

videocd perfect as usual

Reviewed after watching all of CD 1.
Finally a good non-internal rls.
Sound is excellent as always and the picture is very good
except for the darker scenes a cam just can't do well with
plus a little flicker now and then.

As for the movie itself it will be lucky to go around the theatres
in 8.0 days and disappear

Another fine VideoCD product.

VideoCD continues their incredible run -- if they keep this up thoughout the summer, they'd have to be considered the best ever, IMO. 8/10/?

very good apart from the french subs

7/8/8

i posted 7 because of the subs no other reason

Posted by Roger on 06-19-2004 06:45 PM:

Can you tell me what the subs has to do with the video quality ?
If the sound would be french but surround 5.1, would you give it 0 ? for english subs, i guess 8$/2hrs is not too bad.

Smile

Very nice telesync videocd is smoking as of late. audio is very nice, video is dark in places but overall good. as for the movie... eh didn't care for it. Keep um comin' VideoCD

my post if u dont like it dont read it
if the subs were in english then the problem wouldnt be there and i know that wideocd have a french supplier seeing as the subs are encoded into the video then its a video problem for me not an audio but like i said if u dont like it tough thats my review

oh and the vid is too dark and does flicker but i didnt mention that because some one already has so my rating stands as far as im concerned

just because VideoCD released it doesn't always mean its from a french source..sure most of them recently have been but you can't just assume it is. Chronicles of Riddick was in english so you never know, unless you watched the release and if you did then i apologize for assuming that you did not.

from the sample
8/9/x (downloading full rls now) and will watch later
looks really good, not their greatest as of recently but still high quality.

EDIT:: i've watched all of cd1 and it looks really good, maybe a little dark but hardly noticeable. I also didn't notice any flicker that some people talk about, this is another great release from videocd and my rating is still the same

what are we saying here people, this is English language but French subs all the way through? Hope not, thats been whats put Videcd at the top of the pile, nice copies, nice sound, no subs. People used to hate thai subs, whats so different here.

my gues sis at some point someone speaks chineese and they put subs in for the french audience like they will probably put english subs in when shown in uk and german subs in germany etc
