sample has a loudness in background to it?? not sure if thats movie or not.. hard to hear people...but pic looks decent on it.. DLed a rar.. it sounds fine elsewhere.... So i assume thats just the one part.. Bad place to make a sample folks.. just a suggestion.

its now 2.20 am in the morning here in the uk but this release has woken me up time to make a cup of tea and settle down with this quality release 8/8/? hope the film is as good as the reviews

this is the version I've been waiting for...very very nice....solid quality pic and audio..from the full release its excellent..I like the way they hard press the english subs over the video. Only thing in french was the intro credits..and fin at the end... I did some touch ups to the video and enhanced the audio with audiocity..and now its great and balanced and the video looks dvdquality with my edits..thanks to tmpgenc Xpress.

8/8/7 movie was good but not great..great special effects throughout.

rumors of repack to fix sound.. yes..no?

If there are rumors to fix the sound then why has the sound received an avg of 8.4? I couldn't imagine anything with that rating needing to be fixed. I'd like to get some objective opinions from members that actually have the full release and not just a sample..

I have the full release, although i have not viewed it yet - only a few rars here and there. To me, the sound is fine. I didn't find anything wrong with it - nothing at all. Although it may be fucked in certain parts of the release, but i didn't notice it. No repack has been put out yet either.

This release is better than their last, picture is a little dark & grainy as usual, but it's very very nice. Sound is great .. love it

8/8/? - I'll probably watch this one tomorrow. Looks good & the ratings are great.

*I'm rating the sound an 8 from what i've heard of it, same with the video. If my opinion changes about this release after i finish viewing it tomorrow, i will surely update this post.

ive noticed with the majority of maven and videocd's releases they are very quiet, i usually have to turn my tv up more then half, which is quite loud...anyone else have this problem?

just finished d/l ,burning,and watching random parts on the tv....looks superb
After having sat thru the disgusting silver of the POT and fbC rls, maVen's colors and brightness show how the film was meant to be seen....it actually looks like an entirely different movie, the quality difference is so much better.
Sound, nice , same maven ts . I think the loudness of the background music ppl are reporting is actually the way the film is meant to be...i.e. very grandious and overpowering.
No sync issues noticed. N pixelation noticed.

P.S. typical maVen french source..as the opening credits/title are in French....but....as a true sign of attention to detail...notice in first scene in the blimp when the old German guy talks...(the original film has USA subtitles, and maVen's source has French subs, but maVen manually added in English subs, crisp black bg with white letters,so as to pls the non-French reading ppl like us......bravo). That subtle attention to detail is appreciated.
