Eh, yes, stick with the POT release. Even if you haven't gotten the POT release yet, grab it over this one. Nice try SG18, keep improving

6/8/7

The POT VCD looks like dogshit on my TV, I'm definatly getting this one.

/me thinks all vcdq posters have been smoking crack or something, hehe...

Posted by FunkyFlyChicken on 12-20-2004 08:28 PM:

Well, I'm not smoking crack, but I don't expect a TS of a movie just released to be DVD quality. If I wanted that, I'd go to the movies to see it, or wait til the darn DVD releases.

POT's release was perfectly fine. I'm not sure if this is a re-encode of theirs (or just used the same silver), but regardless, there isn't really much difference here.

I watched POT's release on the TV, and it was perfectly fine. A bit dark, but that's the style of the movie. Had a good bit of color and all considering someone got this with a camcorder sitting in a theater.

Honestly, I give them both the same score (Pot and SG18)
v - 7.5
a - 9
movie - 7 (Decent movie, just not sure what the intended audience is, since it's too dark for the young kids). It's a morality/fairy tale play for teens and adults really... except some of it gets a bit too "Goofy" at wierd times for the adults to truly love...

Have any of you seen as much as the sample?

I think not

This is about 2 seconds out of sync, on the sample. so not going to even bother grabbing this releases!

4/?/?

I have seen more than just the sample. In fact I have taken 2-3 rars from cd1 as my sample. The sync looks just fine to me in disc 1, although I couldn't comment on disc 2 as yet.

Picture is watchable. I have seen a lot worse.

Posted by sc0tsman on 12-20-2004 10:05 PM:

JaX try restarting yer PC m8, sync looks bang on here ...........

best of the 3 so far, imo

7.5/8/9

Dont know what sample you wached but mine was fine no sync problems what so ever???????

7/8/?

Props SG18!

From comparing the two on my high end 21" CRT monitor; this is clearer and has much better contrast than POT's (though POT's was a good release). It looks excellent on the livingroom tube as well. The Movie was much better than I expected and the house falling apart scene was great but it's too dark (as in heavy) for the younger or more sensitive kids.

9/8/7

This is the one to get.

Merry Christmas or whatever to all.

brut7

PS I didn't notice any sync problems though I wasn't looking for them and watched the whole flick and didn't watch the sample.

Cant see much wrong with this rls - cant see any probs with sync at all. Video is pretty good stuff and sound equally. Only comment i would make is that there is a little too much brightness in the faces. But nothing to complain about - best release of this movie so far in my opinion. I know sg18 take a hammering for their sources but as long as credit is given where credit is due in nfo and they can improve on previous attempts, the more groups the better is what i say. worth the downloading and very watchable

VIDEO 8 / 8 / 6

Well done sg18 much better than previous attempts
