-- The Aviator *XviD* - DVD SCR - Tsunami-Appeal (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=53453)
just looked at few of the rars and looks decent to me for dvdscr. Will watch movie tonight
7/8/?
dont know why nforce nuked this for bad.quality....from the sample it looks very good.....great work, whatever grp this is....and its a great idea to donate to the cause as well
Got the sample of this, and the nuke should stand, this is a near 3 hour movie, and the audio is 448 AC3, and video bitrate is 469, so you can see were the problem lies.
There will probably be a "Scene" repack with mp3 sound and higher bitrate, but i'll personally be looking for a 3CD AC3 release, or hopefully a DVDR if it compresses well.
Saying that, the sample does look OK, but just goes to show that judging by the sample isnt accurate.
7/9/?
The Aviator (2004) *DVDSCR*
Sorry for my Post before Guy's .....I should have gone to bed long ago ...LOL
My mistake in looking at wrong sample ....
I feel real bad now .....Should know better for how long i been doing this ...
cddvdtracker, im assuming by now, you have realised your mistake, and gotten the correct sample.
Try and be a little less hasty before posting stuff on forums, as you will open yourself up for severe flaming.

looks fine to me....i dunno what the nuke is all about. downloaded a few rars, i think its alright personally..
8/8/9
The sample looks okay because it is a low motion scene. In parts where there is a lot of action (which is a lot in this movie) it will be one giant pixel.
Don't bother with this release.
have it on dvdr (2 dvdrs)and pic is fine
prolly a rls soon
no black and white scenes, just a small watermark now and again
the quality of this encode is horrible if you ask me. Very pixelated, looks like shit.
2 / 7 / ?
Crappy video, only 657 kbits/s on CD1 so IMO it deserves a NUKE!
Just finished watching this all the way through. Couldn't see any problems with quality tbh. Very good. Shouldn't have been nuked imo.
your TV must be really small. It already looks horrible on my computer monitor and even worse on my WS. I leeched the DVDR now which is O-K.
An undeserved nuke imo whatever the bitrate it still looks slick on my TV and projector, dosn't look so hot on my monitor but i dont use that for viewing so no big prob there.
Strange how it's not nuked on nforce when normaly it's them who nuke for the pettiest of reasons.
plenty of versions of this screener floating about and no doubt a few more to come over the comming days so for the "purists" maybe get an alternative. For the majority though this is a great release.
8.5/9/8 << based on watching the whole movie. (and not looking at numbers)
36 inch tosh widescreen, so no, not small at all.
****JUST TO MAKE THIS CRYSTAL CLEAR TO EVERYONE !! ******
There is nothing what so ever wrong with this release! , it has nice AC3 sound clean crisp picture, and NO pixelation what so ever.. I am watching this film through a 22" visable monitor and have not seen any issues that other people have mentioned, this release should NOT be nuked.
I have come to the conclusion that it could have been possible for people to have downloaded a Bad faked named release which has spread from site to site as for the film its very good
9/9/9
I don't see alot wrong with this, there is some pixaltion, but, nothing I have not seen before, however I do have a question, is it me, or is the color completely ruined in this release? Is this the way it was meant to be or was it because of the encode
I think the problem is some people are playing this with Windows Media Player. When I did , It was "one giant pixelation". but when when I played it with VideoLan it was fine.
This release is fine. Some pixelation, but I've seen 1cd rips looking much worse.
elamericano, the colors are suppose to look the way they do, read the bottom off the trivia page on imdb.
thnx dazzs, I did not even read that stuff on imdb
If you say there's no pixelation you guys must be either have to do with the rel or blind
No matter what player you use (xbox, or varous pc players like mediaplayer, zoomplayer, divx player). This release is an ocean of giant pixels. Considering avg bitrate and length of the movie, it's no wonder either. It's been propered for a reason and I'm happy about it. The Sample is not even the worst of all scenes, watch some light and fast scenes, it's not watchable imo.
