wow... about time groups are called out for their TC antics.... Glad they switched to Xvid, definately kills most if not all competition for a Race... watching WUF TS right now, so I can sleep, If I waited for this itd be too late, but from a few starting rars its great definately clearer and more defined... the sound is good, like many recent TS... this rls without a full watch is 9/7/9 greatmovie ...SAME AS WUF JUST JUST FILTERED

Great quality pic and audio and nice to see MaVen doing what more groups should be doing.. Binning the SVCD and moving with the times. As they arn't the quickest at releasing it also helps them avoid having to release as INTs or being nuked for duping other lesser groups TS's that have lesser standards and don't care about quality.
Very amusing nfo and really put's PRODiGY and their "TCs" to shame. I imagine if they had sources this good they would be releasing them as DVDscr

Oh noo :( XViD isn't what the majority want!

I believe there'll be dubbed XViD > SVCD reencodes here in our country, just to satisfy the majority :/

But reencodes aren't what we really want.

Please encode in SVCD-format again.

XViD is for pr0n on PC-screen, always used SVCD for TV, because it's the best, and supported by ALL standalone-players.

Btw. have seen the sample .. nice job, as usual :)

But TSs are always a little bit blurry, so SVCD is OK ;D
Make a SVCD-rls, too. And let the ppl decide what's best ..

Traffic doesn't matter ..

Anyway - when the movie starts here in cinema (06/feb/09) there will be a DVDRip in SVCD-format :D

nice to see they're not doing svcds anymore, much better size and slightly better quality than what we usually get from them

video 9.5/10 I dunno how these guys do it, but most of there TS' look as good as telecenes, sometimes even better, this is just as good

sound 9/10 can't really complain as its direct sound, cant get any better unless its surround sound

movie 8/10

Because if not this is a grt way around the dupe rule

No dupe here, Xvid is its own format. And most times a cleaner encode as is the case here. The results are a Very good clean albeit a bit bright pic, with very good, a bit too bassy direct audio for a fantastic thriller and Halloween film.

video is quality telesync with some motion blur but very watchable

audio is non direct and is hollow and muffled to the point that some scenes are hard to follow.

this is how to convert xvid to dvd format very very easily.
grab a piece of software called vso divxtodvd converter.
load up the xvid and click convert.
it produces a VIDEO_TS folder after about an hour. this can be burnt using nero as a dvd movie or i like to convert this to iso format using imgtools and keep it stored on my hard disk.

this is real simple newbie stuff to do.

so....grab xvids, better quality and save bandwidth.

::EDIT:: I wish you peeps would stick to reviewing the release, transferring xvid>dvd has been discussed to death on the forum already - NS::

MaVen come out on top again, just seen the sample, looks nice, u can see the grainy ness in the background abit but the xvid format helps that out more, Video is so nice, nice colour and very clear, the audio is fine but great but good enought for my eyes . I also got the Stay sample for some reason and that looks quality. MaVen always have the video, its just getting the sound now a-days, keep up the good work guys.

V: 8 (For a TS, very nice)
S:7.5 (Abit hissy but fine by me)
F: Will Watch Tonight.

PS Cartel used to release the TS on xvid format, like Spiderman 2 etc, they never got nuked and was great viewing

Awesome XVID Switch!!

XVID is by far a superior way to download movies!! There is no quality loss between it and svcd and you are able to burn it to one dvd rather then 2 cd's!! If your DVD doesn't support XVID then buy a new one with all the money you saved from these sweet releases!!! Keep it up maVen!!!
