Well breezed thru this video , and found it to be quite nice , if it wasnt for the previously mentioned cropping it be a 9.0 easy.

8.0/8.5/?

People are so quick to want to nuke these days. What's next, a nuke because the nfo isn't fancy enough? I cropped out the black bars myself, you can too. Or, you could just find your own DVDSCR and release it so we can all tell you how bad it is.

Thanks for the release MeekRaB, good work.

video looks fine to me from the sample, but i dont have an hd moniter. is that what makes the difference?

Posted by TeknoTurd on 01-01-2006 03:43 AM:

When you say black bars are you referring to the black bars on the top and bottom of a picture when you're watching a widescreen release on a regular screen?

we all know we can crop the shit out ourselves..the point is that they didnt follow scene rules (tdk2k) and that is why its nuked....and to ur nfo not being fancy, it seems this is ur grp, lol if it is, learn to follow the rules

Why are people so ungrateful

Thank you for such a great movie.

@kevlar

No, not my group.

Seems some are just stuck in the anal stage is all.

Also, the rules for XViD are TDX 2002 Releasing Standards (tdx2k2) not tdk2k as you stated. If you look at the bottom of the rules, this group is not in the approving list so, I guess they don't really have to follow them.

No, actually the rls rules are from 2005.

quote:
Cropping is required to be the MAXIMUM possible (black borders must be cropped to their maximum). Over cropped releases are considered a technical flaw. Some movies present changing ARs, in that case the cropping applies only to the image that presents more pixels (Means that part of the movie will have bad cropping).

The latest TDX revision is TDX2005, but there's rebuttal against this revision, proving it to be flawed in several aspects.

The TDX2002, is the most recent widely accepted version.

Now who is being anal?

Good source but me thinks they rushed it.

7/8/9 < Good movie

i don't know what you guys do with these, but when you convert to dvd it going to add the "black bars" anyways because you can only burn 16x9 or 4x3 (ntsc, don't know about pal).

Sadly, that is just a direct copy & paste from a page on Wikipedia (haha). He couldn't create his own opinion, so he instead opted to use someone else's.

Regardless..... from sample:
V: 8.5 (black bars are irritating, but not much of a major drawback)
A: 9
M: ?

Now this is going to sound stupid, but I never cropped the bars out before. What do you use to do that? I just always accepted they were there LOL

Like I said.. stupid question.

I've watched the whole thing. Whatever cropping etc. Great quality video and audio and a good film. Considering the number of releases nowadays, this kind of criticism isn't at all constructive. Here we have a very good copy of a popular current film only a couple of weeks after its theatrical release. Feel free to provide us with better, only make it something else since I've already seen Syriana

Good work MeeKRaB

Happy to see this released; been waiting for a watchable version. Bars are a minor annoyance at most.

not a bad release for a dvd scr. the cropping issues are not a big deal to me, since it is not that hard to correct.

video is great quality, no noticeable skips or framerate issues. as with most screeners, there is the nag text ("screening purposes only, etc.") that appears for about 45 sec 3 or 4 times throughout the movie.

no audio sync issues.

a lot of scenes the dialogue are in arabic, farsi language and unless you are fluent in, you may have a better time understanding this film if you take out the cropping and watch in fullscreen, as there are subtitles for a good portion throughout the film that are a bit small when watching in original size.
