Just seen the trailer here for the latest film adapted from the graphic novels of Frank Miller (Sin City).

Its based on the Battle of Thermopylae, part of the Persian - Greco war, and you can read more about it here .

The "original" (inverted commas cos it's the same story, not a remake, but was Miller's inspiration to retell the tale) The 300 Spartans is fucking awesome as well. Puts drivel like Troy, Alexander and Kingdom of Heaven to shame. Definitely check it out if you get the chance.

300 looks impressive. Excellent again is that the palette just screams the books, exactly as Sin City did.

Hopefully great success on another Miller venture pushes closer a Batman/Superman crossover in The Dark Knight Returns.

We can all dream.

Is it so hard to actually create sets, looks a hell of a lot better. Movies just keep pissing me off more and more.

Have to agree with this. Still the Teaser Trailer just blows you away. A must see.

If they wanted to do a cg background and have it blend. You would never know. The reason it looks like it does, is for artistic value.
