World Names Profiler

I found this linked on another site. It basically shows the distribution of your surname throughout the world and breaks it down by country and region... It's especially interesting if your surname is a bit unusual like mine (my surname is Planktonfucker).

The scary part is, from what I can tell from the stats, my name is so rare it actually bumps my home town to the top of the list in the Top Cities section cos my family still lives there!

My mums maiden name is Newcombe which I was told was ye olde version of immigrant, i.e New Comer, referring to Vikings and shit. But it turns out it was just a name given to workers moving around throughout Britain when they settled in a new town. So its probably more pikey than Viking.
