I just find the whole thing a big fucking circus. Sure, the outcome is very, very important (the most powerful man in the world type important), but are all these rallies really neccessary? I would like to think that most americans aren't so easily swayed by continual mudflinging and empty promises, but because they keep on doing them leads me to believe otherwise

Actually as you probably read he registered as Republican in the March 4th primary.

Seems he owes the state (Ohio) approx. $1,200 in back income taxes. More than likely he is a contractor and therefore self-employed and has to pay quarterly estimated taxes to the state and fed. Probably paid under like I always do which means at times I've owed as well. The one pitfall of having a better than average year income-wise when your self-employed. And then of course you get punished for it in interest and late payment fee.

I agree he definitely exaggerated or outright lied about some of the facts about himself when he talked to Obama. And McCain's campaign should have checked the facts about him before using him. It still doesn't make the point any less important about Obama's tax plan. Let me ask everyone here a question. Who owns business? People. And the bigger and better the business is, the more money it makes the more money the person who owns it makes right? So this now "rich person" has a business doing well so they do what all successful business people do: invest more of their own money into it to build it more and therefore make more money. And in the process of making their business bigger they have to hire more people right? Therefore as the business owner invest more money in his/her business, more people are put to work and so now more money is being pumped into the economy. Everything is good. Now along comes a politician, we'll call him Obama, who wants to take those rich people money cause "we need to spread the wealth around" so what do you think those rich business owners are going to do? Well they sure as heck ain't gonna put it back in their business cause 1.) they have less of it and 2.) if they make more money by building their business up they'll have to pay more in taxes. So now they not only can't hire more people to work, they might even have to lay more off and/or jack their prices up on their goods or services becuase they are paying more in taxes, which means the people who are working are paying more of their hard earned money on those goods and services and on and on it goes. Plain and simple Obama plan is just like any other Democrat's tax plan of trying to tax us into prosperity which the past 80 years has shown us it DOES NOT WORK!

Now back to Joe. It was stupid he lied but that doesn't mean that automatically makes him a Republican. If he was a democrat, does that mean he would never lie? Ever heard of some guy name Bill (William Jefferson) Clinton? I think he was president or something and was charged with something like lying under oath or some such thing. Honestly all politician in some way lie to the public and what we have to do is dig through those lies to see the truth. And the truth is Obama's tax plan is bad for America while McCain's tax plan (including keeping the Bush tax cuts in place which has put more money in my pocket) works for America regardless of the fact that Joe the Plumber pays his taxes or buys a business that makes $250,000 a year.

Grant you can blame Clinton for NAFTA, He opend the gates to send our jobs over seas, it wasn't until CAFTA jobs starting being outsourced in record highs, Do you call tech support and talk to someone from India? Democrats and Republicans alike were against this. I have a few personal friends who went to College and got there degree in IT. Before they went jobs were plentiful, after they got out, not so much. There IT jobs were outsourced to India, and vairous other countries.

My Aunt, and quite a few other family members lost there factory jobs here in Ohio, cause there jobs went straight to Mexico. Again all Republicans blame the Clinton administration, Yet they seem to forget an 8 year gap called the Bush Regime, lol.

So yeah Businesses who outsource are getting huge tax breaks, That's one thing that won't stop if McCain gets elected. Hell he's voted with Bush 90% of the time, more then most republicans and he's a Maverick? I guess you haven't listened to Obama's proposel have you? Cause were fucked either way.

All I've heard, All republicans blame the Clinton Admistration on EVERYTHING. If something good came out of the last 10 years they give Regan, and Bush props. How the fuck does that work?

I'm not saying McCain plan is perfect but it works better than Obama's. Republicans in general are for allowing wealthy people to use their money to improve the economy there own way (growing businesses, increasing employment, investing) while Democrats in general believe in taxing the wealth and again I quote Obama "spreading the wealth around" Between the two it's a lesser of two evils and in this case McCain wins.

Go back and read up on your history, the real stuff, not the slanted crap. Bush Sr. promised not to raise taxes but was forced by a Democrat controlled congress in order to get what he wanted (in part a large military-spending more on the military) so had no choice. Same shit Bush has dealt with in the past two years with a mostly democrat controlled House and Senate.

The only thing I've heard recently that can indeed be blamed on the Clinton Administration is the mortgage crisis. He was for relaxing borrowing standards which allowed a lot more people to get mortgages that they really could not afford and then defaulted on bringing us to where we are today.

Actually with the changes made by presidents in fiscal policy, many of them are not felt till years later. The prosperity during Clinton's Administration was due in part to the changes made by Reagan and to a lesser degree Bush Sr. And the same can be said about negative changes though thank God Clinton was held at bay at what could have been the biggest economic disaster this country had ever seen: National Health care.

Either way the U.S. is becoming a socialist state unless we do something about it now.

Fuck all I'm gonna do "ennie, meanie, minie, moe" and vote for either Ron Paul or Bob Barr.

All we see is these god damn conservatives blaming it on somone else. What has Bush done to fix our economy? He made it worse. That's a fucking fact. Bigger tax breaks to companies moving over seas, and that's a big problem.

My take on it is, The reason Bush Sr. lost against Billy Boy Clinton was because of his "Read my lips, No new taxes" I've done a bit of research as I was to young to be affected by it. Bush Sr lost about 2/3 of his support because of this, Republicans and dems alike.

It was an attempt to address the increasing budget deficit, Which was largely attributed from the Regan tax cuts and military spending in the 80's.

I do find it funny that Bush Sr. approval rating was like 40% and look how Low Georgie Bush's approval rating it's just about as low.

These Bush boys haven't been good for our Country.

Only thing I have to agree with ManCandy on is, Vote Indepennt if you're going to vote.

I don't even know If I wanna vote this time around, I'm sick of both of these politicians. I morally can't get behind either one. Both is wrong for this Country.

Well, I'm sure even if Obama get's the majority vote, he won't get the electorial votes. Thefore your vote won't count.

According to Fox Noise Acorn is bribing black people with cigarettes and $1 bills, LOL. I can't do anything but laugh at this. If it's true that's one of the best stereotypes to come to life.

ACORN is being investigated in 13 states, last I heard, for voter registration fraud. Guess who was a lawyer for the Illinois Branch of ACORN?
