Whats your Political view?
Been reading a lot of posts lately where this forum has been call ultra left and ultra right. Always denied. So just for the sake of setting this record straight, and im curious i made this post. I guess it has more of a point if you actually post what you voted for, unless there is a way to have that happen automatically, if so someone let me know please.
I Voted Very Right Wing.

I used to consider myself right-wing. My views haven't changed much over the last thirty years but I now find myself well to the left of most people these days.
You should keep that to yourself. Me and Avenue1 get picked on for being 'too' right wing. Apparently there is no barrier on the left hand side though.
Dare to say Margaret Thatcher was a decent prime minister and you could be banned on the spot, voice an empathy for Arthur Scargill and you could be made a moderator within a week.
And just in case you are wondering, we all hate liberals, this is why Neversoft is universally hated.
Also, I think you put Communist on the wrong side of your poll, maybe replace that with Fascist and stick communist a lot closer to socialist.
anti immigration
right wing

I, myself am a British Sikh, born and bred as a British citizen. My parents moved to the UK when they were 8-9 years old, as my grandparents were given citizenship - My great grandfathers faught for the British army against the germans (1 became a mercenery and the other was in normal regiment)
I would very much like to know what some of your far-right thoughts are regarding my position in british society... Am i worthy of having citizenship as both my great gparents died for the country? Or does it not matter since i have no English heritage, and thus no right to be living in the country?
I just thought it would be interesting...as i havent really met any far right wingers
cheers

Old saying about "stand in the middle of the road long enough and you're gonna get hit" always pops in my head whenever someone says they're "moderate" or in the middle. You're either on one side of an issue or the other there really is no middle when it comes to politics.
Voted Kinda Right Wing though people like para say I'm very. I don't think so. For one I have no problem with Welfare or Disability income from the government as long as it's used properly. And Welfare was meant as a hand up not a hand out to enable people to not even attempt to improve their lives. The system is abused but I still think it's needed.
Anyone who labels themselves lliberal or a democrat (left wing) in the states must be wondering just what the hell did they do last November when they voted for Obama. One month in office and already the federal deficit has more than doubled (Economic Stimulus Plan, Tarp2, etc.) And today with the announcement about his plan to reduce our Deficit by half by the year 2013 didn't shock me but I know what the only solution to that is:higher taxes (income, capital, estate, etc.) So again, just 30 days after being in office, the Immaculate One is talking about raising taxes.
Not going to keep going on with this any longer (not enough time and my reply would crush any other reply for length ever posted on the internet lol) but I can say that one thing I know for sure is this; the United States will not be the country it was 4 years from now if the "changes" Obama is making and wants to make are allowed to happen. Instead of learning about Socialism in school, our children will get to experience it first-hand.
With that depressing thought I'm gonna cheer myself up by staring at my siggy for awhile.![]()

I have to say threads like this reveal the issues with bipartisan systems where people feel compelled to say whether they sit one side or the other on any issues.
I voted liberal because I have both left and right wing views. I'm a capitalist at heart but I believe in helping people who can't necessarily help themselves - yes even if they're not from this country and have a legitimate need. That said I also think we spend too much time helping people whose issues are no longer ours when we could be doing better work for our own people.
I vote Lib Dem not because I'm a liberal or middle-ground but because they don't spend time trying to shit on the opposition and instead think about their policies. I appreciate the Obama administration because he took time to fill his cabinet with people from both sides in order to get a fair representation - a Democrat president doesn't necessarily mean a Democrat government in the way it behaves. The Pres acts for the good of the people and in that sense I think you're lucky in the US right now, because fuck knows what Gordon "Cunt Face" Brown is doing for us.
I don't think the BNP would be an answer to that though, maybe some stricter border control but not ethnic cleansing.
I should stop playing Deux Ex, I think about this shit way too much.
I went with "Kinda left wing" but I wouldn't say I was either to be honest... It depends on what the topic is as some stuff I'm pretty intolerant of.

who matters,
who never did,
who won't any more...
and who always will.
So, don't worry about people from your past,
there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
Jingofin - You and Ave constantly being called ultra right wingers is what made me curious as to the political views of the forum attendees, and i see no need or reason to keep it to yourself, if they dont like it, fuck em. And Communism on the poll is the Theoretical form, not the practiced, its the extreme right wing, zero government, work for common good etc..., that was my rationale on the placement.
Sim-card - Im American, so not sure about the Sikh thing, thought that was a middle eastern thing, thought you brits had dukes and such, and also not sure about British immigration laws, and how often someone immigrates there, but if your grandparents immigrated legally, and got citizenship for themselves and their kids(your parents) and you were then born to British citizens, then imo you are 100% British
Candyman - Sounds like you think logically, so tell me what are you planning on doing with your $13?
Fuckmonkey - Obviously most people dont feel one side on all issues, but in reference to most issues/issues a person feels most passionatly about. Myself? i am pro-choice, dont care about gay marriage and dont beleive in god. i also support school prayer and 10 commandments in courthouses. go figure huh? and a 2 party system worked great 200 years ago, we do need a viable third party
Also, the main reason i made my choice was i am ultra opposed to ANY form of social welfare and just want the government to LEAVE ME ALONE Small government, strong military, low taxes, no welfare and enforce immigration laws.

same, i dont think they should allow any fukin tom dick or harry into the country, it should be based more on the aussie system-- where you need a certain no. of points based on a certain criteria to be able to qualify for citizenship
okay simcard, got it figured out now, i was thinking Sheik (sp?), sorry about that.
And yes, at least myself and most everyone around me consider myself far right wing
