HOLY FUCKING SHIT!!

Thankfully there's another half to this season and it's not ending just yet (the second part of season 4, the last season, airs in 2009! Cocksusckers )... I'm not sure who I'm more annoyed at, the writers or me guessing what Earth was going to be like ages ago and dismissing it as a "If they write that, I'll bomb the studio" moment.

They were only ever going to arrive before or after civilisation on this planet, BSG doesn't do happy endings

The pace of this final season has been all over the fucking place though. Several episodes happen with little or no plot development then about 23 things happen in one episode. Who do we blame; the writers strike, budgets or the Cylons?

Personally I loved the ending. Yes, I had a feeling it was going to end like it did (although they threw me off that theory with the "apocalypse earth" episode mid-season). I can't fault the ending though, I loved every second of it and I'm gonna miss it - it's certainly the most forward-thinking Sci Fi that I've ever seen and hopefully more "gritty" scifi will follow...

... I know there's the Caprica spin-off coming and I think there's another mini-series from the Cylon perspective in the autumn, I think.

The finale was good, but compared to the mini-series intro it felt cheap, it's like the producers had ran out of ideas.
I like the characters of Baltar and no.6 but the scenes with their 'angels' were pretty bad, maybe I was expecting too much.

I still want more so I'm hoping for a spin off with adama and the one-eyed guy, the episode with them two kicking ass was quality. They should do a prequel series like in the bar they were getting hammered in, they could bring back some other characters too like the bird who shot herself in the head.

I haven't read any of your comments and will start watching from where I left off starting this Friday....

Has anybody watched the pilot episode of Caprica yet? Can't say I was impressed to be honest... It didn't seem to have the same calibre of script or acting as BSG and is relying on clichés even for the pilot - Holobands and virtual dead teenage geniuses? Give me a fucking break and get on with some Cylon carnage cos I have no desire to spend my evenings watching a pre-menstrual toaster sharing it's angst with the world

Forgot to get it, saw there was something on the latest BSG DVD though - will download it now and give it a go.

This could be as shit as Spooks Code 9. I really hope not though

Edit: It's pretty good. It seems canon with the BSG storyline even though the holobands look like they came out of a cereal box; the girl's not whining that much and you do get to see teenagers being shot and sacrificed
