Not really satisfactory

I'm usually not very picky about early cams and telesyncs, but the video quality of this release is just not adequate.

Specifically:

1. The dark scenes are so dark that I can't even see what's happening.

2. The light scenes are too contrasted.

3. The actual aspect ratio of the visible picture on the first CD is 2.9:1, which is way off. It should be 2.35. (The second disc seems to be better, but I didn't capture and measure it.)

4. There is often some distortion near the top of the picture.

The sound is OK. It's audible, and the dialogue can be heard without strain, but there is very little talk in this highly visual work, so the sound isn't as important as the picture.
