It's a SCREENER who cares about 5 pass as long as it looks good, wait for a retail or internal for 5 pass archiving (or use your own words of wisdom, if you want perfection buy the DVD <- xXx thread, heh)

Compliancy isn't a lame reason for proper, if you've noticed alot of 192kbit rips are propered (Spider-Man anyone?) but for the sake of compliancy that is. Standards are made so the majority of rips will be able to play properly on the majority of dvd players. Let KSi repack? Does FLT wait for DEViANCE to do repacks and vice versa? LOL, if they mess up... they mess up... better luck next time.

ignorance, is that why their dvdr division released the DVDR? My.Big.Fat.Greek.Wedding.DVD.Screener.DVDR-BooZerS.

Here's my review from reviewing both samples (not jpegs): They both LOOK awesome, KSi's is a bit softer maybe due to the extra passes and higher video bitrate but too bad about the lower audio... TCF's looks a tad sharper but does display SLIGHT (barely noticeable on my comp) noise and better audio. In conclusion, download KSi's if you've already started and if your your player can handle 192kbit mpeg audio (don't get that confused with being able to playback 192kbit AC3 audio), otherwise I'd go for the TCF release for full compatibility and almost identical quality (the differences are so minimal). On a TV output, they'll both look superb since your television softens images anyway, you won't be able to tell the difference between rips... it's not like a 2CD versus 3CD release (i.e. xXx) and bitrate of both rips are fairly high enough to maintain high quality on a non action film.

I can't express my opinion on the release because I ACTUALLY watched both samples and they both look fairly identical? I'm still waiting for you to come out of your shell since I often read of you complaining about the smallest thing in every movie thread. At least be constructive, instead of blantant finger pointing. re-read my review, since I edited it after I watched the samples.

LMFAO! Nice to know I'm not the only person here who is both literate AND old enough to throw back a few cold ones at the local pub. I guess Sarcasm 101 isn't taught until sophomore year.

Note to Vtec-- very knowledgable (and lengthy) post you just made. But, here's a hint: if someone suggests a repack/nuke of a release because of a mistake in the nfo.... they're probably just KIDDING! and if someone says it's nice you came out of your shell... it ain't necessarily an ATTACK!

My Vtec rating: scene knowledge (9). grammar & spelling (10). social awareness (2).
