One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to ‘em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy....

Or just watch it on your pc with a tv out a much better idea, re-encoding pointless unless your selling bootlegs. Can't a decent video card and the quality loss is a lot less than a re-encode. I wonder if that's exactly what some groups does and releases it as their own.

I strongly disagre with you svenbob on this, I normally think you're one of the more "respectable" people here but on this matter your wrong.

When I really want to watch a divx movie on my dvd player I encode it to 4000Kbs+ even if it means 2 dvd films, quality loss is minimal but you can still definetly tell (As long as your TV is upto it).

The divx and the svcd are from the same source apparently. So it's just a matter of which you'd rather have. Personally I prefer divx cos I've got a tvout and widescreen tv and then if my mates want a copy of the film, I'll just encode it to svcd. They won't notice the difference.

Oh and the svcd is larger in file size, also important if you're on a crap connection like me.

Rar file problem

Can anyone please help me out on this one. I downloaded the movie but in the CD2 rar archive the file rar28 is damaged.

What should i do?

Please help me

Kind regards,

Werner

my cd2 .r28 is corrupt too.

Posted by likwid8 on 12-15-2002 09:23 PM:

easy...

find another rar28 and replace it with the old one

or........... download a par file from Newsgroup (gots to be a par from the movie)

or........... go on mIRC and request it (movie channels) not porn

later

"The divx and the svcd are from the same source apparently. So it's just a matter of which you'd rather have."

but how each is encoded will make a difference in the respective qualities. (although in this case they both look awesome)

The quality is indeed very nice, but was annoyed to find all the volumes were corrupt in the packed tar I downloaded. Incredibly annoying, I must say.

Posted by Muzak on 12-19-2002 08:44 PM:

this was very nice. i was actually suprised that i enjoyed this movie, i thought it would be to "kiddy". pleasantly suprised. now i guess i have to go find the first one, lol

For you guys who keep asking for the SVCD, you can convert divx to SVCD yourself. With free progs too. go to http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgencsvcd.htm it tells you how to use Tmpgenc and Virtual Dub to make em.

One note though, it seems that this dominion divx is missing the leading index. You will have to recompress it using Virtual Dub, ful processing mode, using Divx 5.02 codec. Then rip the audio out, no compression, using Virtual Dub. Then use that audio to re-encode in TMPGenc.

Posted by andybno1 on 01-15-2003 09:58 PM:
