As you can see there are already quite a bit of Black borders around the pic. That means they had to of cut off the areas where the water mark usually is, and added black borders while encoding. These are permanent. Its pretty screwed up I'd think. But that depends on if you'd rather have the whole region where the watermark usually shows cropped off or if you rather live with it and see beyond the marks as to whats actually going on in the movie. Hope this screen shot helps someone understand what I mean. I never seen the one w/ the CCE logo, they could have just cropped that out and rlsd a reencode from that rls for all I know. But not likely if they still had the Source DVD. But beggers can't be chosers. Just doesn't make sense to me, unless someones tryin to pass it off ass a retail DVD at the local flea market..

You my friend are retarded, if you need an explanation of why then you need to do a little more research. I'd also like to see a reencode with DTS sound when the first release didnt have it.

Ah, DUH... the repack does have a DTS Track! Try switching the audio channel, LOL!

My Dearest Vtec

First of all, I aint your friend Fucktard. And secondly. I said I didn't (DID NOT) see the first release. :P

Quote Myself
"I never seen the one w/ the CCE logo, they could have just cropped that out and rlsd a reencode from that rls FOR ALL I KNOW"

Again
"FOR ALL I KNOW"

Does that not clearly state that I didn't see the first release? I didn't care to read the NFO, cause I wasn't going to download it considering It was shit to start w/ (If you need reason, because of the CCE logo). So get off Boozers Jock, Maggot.

Also my "point" is that they cropped out the water mark along w/ removing some of the background (Hence the screenshot), not that it was a recode. So why don't you get off my case, Numb Nuttz.

Edit Seems you just made an Idiot of yourself too. Unless the nfo is incorrect, the original rls before the repack had 5.1 DTS audio. Maybe they fuct up on that part too. "I DON'T KNOW". But if it did have 5.1 DTS... LMFAO@You.. Fucktard.. :P

First of all, YOU DON'T HAVE TO SEE the first release to know that it's 16:9 WS. ALOT of dvds have excess black bars especially 2.35:1 and dvd screeners (some even appear 16:9 but the aspect is 4:3 since the studio [mainly mgm, 007, etc.] leaves in their own "black bars"). So NO, non of the screen is missing, those black bars were originally there (moron). Secondly, mr jackass.... look at the original release nfo again (it's correct btw, even on this site), you must be blind or stupid. DD 5.1 (Dolby Digital) is NOT DTS, so the only person who is making an idiot of themselves is YOU. ROFLMAO@JackassTray

@PaulAAtreides

you misunderstood me.

Just clarifying that the REPACK, and SUBJECT of this thread , does, indeed, have a DTS Track......

I don't know how I misread your statement at all, but whatever...

I give up.

I'm tired of flaming eachother. Give me your ass in a boxing ring w/ a pair of gloves and I'll knock you the fuck out. But it aint worth fighting over the net. I was mistaken yes. I broke out my SVCD and checked it out. I don't know how they managed to remove the Screener warnings from this rls. I guess its an additional file aside from the VOBs. Compare these 2 screenshots.

I figured since the warning wasn't there they were cropping it out. I was wrong, I admit it. And on the audio track (non-repack), its 5.1 is all I saw. I don't really understand the difference between DD 5.1 and DTS 5.1 (Besides DD 5.1 is AC3 and DTS is a DTS file?). I apologize for bein a dick. I just don't appreciate being flamed when all I was trying to say was they cropped the watermark. But I was wrong, oh well. I'm the fucktard.

I believe the sources are completely different. The original release was a Retail Screener (ones they send out to video stores ahead of time to promote the movie) and that one had the "PROPERTY OF" message throughout. This release is of the academy screener which just has the "for your consideration" messages interspersed. Hope this helps

Thank You "Mekapo"

Yes that helps a lot. I'm sure it probably says that in the nfo somewheres, I just got my head up my arse lately.. Thats all I was trying to say though. I should have compared the 2 myself earlier before even replying. I wasn't talking about the CCE "LOGO". I was saying "WATERMARK", I thought that was obvious. But all I was getting was flamed. Oh well, thanx a million m8.

Question

Argh. I hate to ask. How do I get the dts track to kick in? I'm using WinDVD 3.0 Tried ver4 as well. I'm open to an alternative program as well, especially if it's better.

I assume that I can't switch to dts on a stand alone DVD player or xbox.

ah, hit audio on your standalone's remote, and switch to audio track 2 , which is the DTS track
