VideoCD & VCDCentral releases was nuked

JPG shows no one should download it. You can see the mess up in encoding.

true i dont rip the movies or bring as much to the table as these guys , but i could make better jpegs blindfolded on a laptop with a low battery in the middle of northern territory of the andes while midgets in tight leather speghetti strapped bikini's with sharpened sticks poking me in the ribs with high pitched cackleing laughter spilling from their partially infected crack pipe blistered cumtrap mouths.

whoa..... sorry , i kinda went off in another corner of my distorted semi rusted and alkaloided mind

bottom line , LOOK AT YOU JPEGS BEFORE YOU POST THEM.

and if you did, and those met your approval , we should all chip in and get these dragqueens some glasses or contact corrective lenses

If everyone is going bitch that it's not deinterlaced properly, why don't you just download a nice DivX instead? If you're watching it on your computer, why are you even bothering with SVCDs? If you *aren't* watching it on your computer, but are sticking it in a standalone DVD player and watching it on a TV, it won't matter if they didn't deinterlace it properly, so stop bitching.

got got this last time, and it was a lot better quality..just a waist of time if u ask me

Posted by kid_rusher on 02-11-2003 03:17 AM:

Talking

Why dont groups just use dvd2svcd? It's really simple and every rip seems to be top notch quality. But then again everyone flames groups for using dvd2svcd. Well, I guess every group gets flamed regardless, and that is the sad thing.

Posted by Snowbording4138 on 02-11-2003 03:32 AM:

ok u need to DE interlace lol

So the question is...

Has anyone actually downloaded and watched this, and if so, how is it? Interlaced like the pic, or is it all kosh? Lates...

I have used dvd2svcd and not all movies come out top notch. Try to rip The Hunt For Red October and you will see what I mean. I dl that movie twice and then ripped it myself, all 3 with the same result. Finally just ripped and encoded it without dvd2svcd and it came out perfect.

Posted by kid_rusher on 02-11-2003 07:07 AM:

coathanger,
Besides Red October, Have there been any other rips that have not come out to your satisfactory? I'm just trying to get a feel for dvd2svcd because every movie that i have used it for has been successful. I have not yet tried Red October but if this is just one of the handful of movies that do not work with dvd2svcd then I believe using the prog is very efficient. The time saved using the program and ease, and quality definitely outweigh the remote possibility of a bad rip happening.
Otherwise, what if a group renamed the cue sheet and the bin. Would anyone ever know if dvd2svcd was used?

plenty of ppl these days have an HDTV, foolio.

and anyway, interlace artifacting can be seen even on a regular tv. it's not like a properly interlaced broadcast.

Oddly enough one of the assholes here is you.

Deinterlace really isn't the major issue here, ITVCing. The DVD probably wasn't 29.976, it was probably 23.976 with pulldown. Who knows what they did, you can see ghosting, deinterlacing isn't going to help that.

Also they encoded CKY4 as 16:9....not a group who checks their work.

Watching this on a TV isn't going to help. It's a bad release, stop posting about judging JPEGs only, b.c the JPEGs tell you what is wrong here.

If I seen the sample or the original DVD I could tell more, but I would say deinterlacing wouldn't be the major problem (merry well could be).

Exclamation maybe just not set for pc

hey guys not defending the quality but i do alot of capturing with a ads instant dvd it captures mpg2 in real time but dont deinterlace results it looks like shit on pc when i catch an image of it but looks great on tv as tv is more forgiving may not be the case here just my 2 cents
