Actually, I burn vcds/svcds at 48x on a pioneer burner and play them standalone in an Apex and they are just as good as the ones I burned @ 8x in my old RW drive. Remember, just because you can't, it doesn't mean it's not possible.

Oh, woohoo you can stream divx to Xbox, big deal, I can watch a DivX from TV out on my computer if I want to. Apex DVD players are very good, they have the best compatibility. However, some of the newer ones have dropped VCD and SVCD support, but it's still easy to get one that does. Besides, not everyone can afford or wants to buy a 200 dollar system that will be outdated in a year lke systems always are just to watch DVDs.

Yeah I watched the OBUS copy also, totally guted to find out it was cut, so can't wait for this new release.

The first release of this was: cd1: 65:01, cd2: 65:12, and this new one is cd1: 64:36, cd2: 64:36, so how does the new one have 10 extra mins, I dont get it? I havent watched either yet, but I have both and dont know which one to watch. Has anyone seen this in the theater and can confirm that this new release is the full movie?

ESOTERiC cut the end creds, OBUS included it. That's alot of minutes right there... and are you sure the last release was longer? it also had less rars.

Posted by napalmfuzz on 02-20-2003 05:25 AM:

the last release had a large (not length wise) scene of the movie cut out.. add that to the cut credits that has allready been mentioned.. and walah

I haven't encountered any clipping, sound is very nice on this one. Maybe you're using Windows Media Player 7-9, I usually get audio glitches with that program so now I use daemon tools to mount the bin/cue then load into PowerDVD. I also use Windows Media Player 6.4 for xvid/divx, it handles it much better. And I doubt anyone will proper for a minor flaw like clipping if there is one, that would mean that a million other releases would need to be propered cause I've heard some poor audio releases in the past.

Best one is XBOX definitly. If not XBOX, then Pioneer.
XBOX will play DivX and EVERYTHING that WMP will play

Dont They Have To Be Chipped Though To Do That?

a release might have less rars if 1. the group with the smaller sized release used some form of compression when packing the rars (most movie groups just use "store", which is 0 compression) or 2. if the group with the larger sized release had the 'add recovery record' option checked in winrar (as all groups should do IMO).
