-- Best Steven King Movie of All Time (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=16321)
i think IT and The Shining were the best out of all. I thought Dreamcatcher was pretty dissapointing. maybe it is because i had to watch it on my computer. maybe you get the "Steven King Effect" at the movies or on network television
Watching on a PC
You know, I read your note about watching Dreamcatcher on your machine...
I'm _so_ spoiled. My fiancee and I used to watch the newest Buffy's, Telesync, Screeners, etc... on my 21" sony monitor. We'd huddle around the PC - disable IMs - and be captivated for x amount of minutes.
Then I bought a really good set-top box ($149 - Sony) that play everything that I throw at it - DVDr's, VCD, SVCD, etc...
There's NO going back to 'sucky' 21" PC monitors. It's so much more comfortable and relaxing (and engaging) watching stuff that you acquire sitting on a comfortable couch!
Dave.
Pet Semetary was my favorite. The creepy little kid, and the sister with the messed up back. Scared the crap out of me. I wish they would try to make a movie out of The Dark Tower.
I'd have to say shawshank, But the Langoliers wasn't too bad except for the cheesy ending haha... I've got to go out and get the stephen king dvd boxset ... like 5 movies for 50 bucks
Shawshank redemption, Green mile a close second
Heh, his best movie adaptions arent even horrors, and they're both prison movies! :P
