The Second: Do you remember the supermarket? This movie have this part. Do tou remember the 4 people escape whit Elicopther? In this movie they escape whit Car. Is a moder version, for me, whit dead man so fast

VIDEO: VHS quality. I actually had to turn the brightness DOWN instead of up like I usually do. Most releases are too dark. This one was too light. Still, the details in scenes that were SHOT DARK were very hard to see, no matter how you adjusted your TV's settings.

AUDIO: Sounded tinny. Like cam audio.

MOVIE: I kept thinking of Omega Man, Resident Evil, and every other zombie movie ever made. I guess it's a genre. One I never got into. It had a 60's-70's feel to it. Pleasant to see a cast of mostly unknowns (with the exception of Brendan Gleeson, the Irish actor who we all would recognize from films like Braveheart, Gangs of New York, and Lake Placid). It was good to see him in this. I actually got really bored with this film though... and wouldn't recommend it.

SVCD is probably unwarrented, but I would have to see it as VCD to really say..

either way great release, I saw this movie when the esoteric release came out and I thought it was great. I generally like all Zombie movies though. much of the same old same old Zombie-ism but with a twist at the end.

Yes they were living at the supermarket in the beginning altough you really only see one little shop. This film is in no way simialir to dawn of the dead.

It wasn't even a supermarket, it was a small kiosk in an underground station. This - and several other elements of the film (particularly the bits near the houses of parliament) - seem more likely to have been inspired by 'Daleks: Invasion Earth 2150AD'.

But still, this film is quite obviously inspired heavily by Dawn of the Dead. The themes explored are sometimes similar, even if the plot differs. And it's still a zombie flick (after a fashion) which pretty much automatically requires a tip of the hat to Night of the Living Dead at the very least, and probably towards Dawn of the Dead as well

This is a great film, which is extremely realistic and shit-your-pants scary. And hideously violent in places. I watched this in the cinema and wet the bed for three consecutive nights afterwards.*

good quality video and good sound Film is a pile of rubbish possibly the worst film ive seen since I watched Below (but Dreamcatcher is drawing equal)

This film is excellent. If you don't 'get' zombie genre films, you won't enjoy this. If you do, then you will.
And don't put City in with Dawn and Day. Tho the titles of similar, Night/Day/Dawn have nothing to do with City.

I dont understand why anyone would want to ruin the decent vhs quality with an yuckie vcd release.

Imo they did the right thing especially when this is a pal tape and the fact that its on 2cds. Now we got an almost perfect copy instead of a shoddy downgraded vcd.

yea this was a nice encode.. i have no prob w/ it being svcd.. as its still 2CDs.. so who gives a cluck..

CVD would have done just as well... but not really a big deal either way.

only question i have... is.. if anyon has figured out what the FB at the bottom right... stands for :?

Yes. A GREAT book but horrible "mini-series" originally on the TV networks around 1992.
