-- What A Girl Wants *SVCD* - TELESYNC - Centropy (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=18191)

no angle, ok so the titles/ movie credits are supposed to be slanted huh? theres constantly ppl standing up in front of the camera, sound gets muffled, during the end of cd1 it repeats its self, only to have the ending to be complety blocked by two idiots who think its the end of the film and stand there 4 a few minutes...

video, a lot darker than normal and grainy

sound, tinny but overall clear

film, not as bad as I expected, all ive heard was bitching, but it was a standerd feel good family movie.. worth watching

worth watching?

Posted by vcdkrew on 04-23-2003 04:16 AM:

the angle is good but what is with the ar? is it just me? the picture seems kind of stretched out, and the cam kind of tilted.(i could be wrong) the picture is not as dark as the picture shows but its kind of dark. i would say that this is a pretty good release, centropy just need to fix the colors and the ar.

Glad to see like many others the strange cam angle is history. I have seen much better quality in VCD from groups who take a load of crap from some posters in this forum. In my opinion this source should have been released as VCD not SVCD just for the simple fact of the size and all the guys who are going to have to d/l this for thier women The movie is ok but not what I would go out to see. Color looks to be ok and sound is what you would expect from open air capture.

My wife thanks CTP and I thank the honest posters in the forum who take the time to give an honest opinion.

Maybe you guys should talk shit after you actually get in the theatre and cam.

There are some honest people judging in this forum and you know who you are. but for those of you who judge the quality according to the movie should leave.

8-little flicker but not bad at all/7-kinda hollow but alot better than alot of rls's/?-haven't watched the movie just the sample. that chick in the movie is hot, but not worth watching. well thats my worthless opinion.

I agree with parasiticgannon

Another fine release from CTP. I like not having to check samples, read reviews, etc. Just d/l and go. I don't see a problem (at ALL) using SVCD for CTP's releases-- in fact, other groups seem to agree as many are following suit. As long as we're on 2 disks (not 3), who cares?? The difference in *audio* quality alone is worth it.

Brightness & color levels are fine (it's a TS, not a screener), but the timeliness of the release was a tad slow, even for CTP. (6.5/8/6)

i do agree with you brr8760 but svcd and vcd use exactly the same audio ie mpeg 1 layer 2 .mp2

lol vorbis is right... there is no difference between vcd audio and svcd audio, as far as scene releases go. technically svcd can use variable bit rate audio up to 384 (i think it is) kbits, but in practice all svcds are released with 224 or 192kbit cbr audio. in fact, what there is of a scene "standard", i.e. the 'svcd council rules', state that it shall always be 224kbit cbr, which is the same as vcd.

8/7/x

::After watching the movie, ill keep my sound and video where they r, i didnt mind the angle but alot of others did, the video on this is still good with no angle..Also, during the movie, a few times people walk by or you can see there heads, and when it starts off the camera wasnt properly set, but he sets it before anything important happens, i suppose it was a test to see if they get good quality from the middle with no angle? heh idk im fine with this....8/7/8 i liked the movie cuz amanda's hott..

you nuts rappa? it's not even watchable with the angle. i'll take a tint + weaker video + weaker audio any day over the fishbowl jay leno effect =(

::ya l dont mind the angle really, i guess u do, i mean if anger management was their first ts in a while, i doubt i would of known there was an angle.

I myself would say this is one of the weaker CTP releases, 6/6/5. But hey, who cares.. movie sucks.

Posted by petrocs on 04-26-2003 11:04 PM:

This release isnt very good from the sample..the angle is fine but it looks very dark and the sound isnt your normal ctp. Rumors of the obstructions have removed this title from my download list

6/6/?
