quote:an 80 minute VCD would fit on 1CDR, an 80 minute DVDRIP SVCD would only fit on an 80 minute CDR only if the average bitrate was around 1167kbit which is unacceptable. Btw, Fsckin' great quality and it doesn't matter that it's PAL! My dvd players can handle it

Dudes, this is *not* great quality. I just burned the sample and played on my TV. It's off aspect ratio. Yes the movie is 2.30:1 but the people are schetched out (they look fatter). The quality isnt that good, we see big muskitos pixels.

If your reading this i wont need to say "WOW FUCKING AMAZING RELEASE" etc like the above few, you would have got the hint already.

took me a few long hours to find, and i'm kicking my own ass for just getting the screener last week, but worth the wait / wasted discs for sure. i don't even see a retail date on imdb, so this must be uber early...
i'm a PAL fan as well, btw...

So for the north americaners who want to watch an SVCD rip on anything other than a computer then NO it's not better.. http://pt.zkiller.de/uploads/rant8.gif
, dur) with a... Pioneer DV-434/Apex AD-5131/Sony DVP-NS715P and all of them play PAL format (VCD/SVCD/XVCD) perfectly on every TV I've tried it on. Maybe older TV's don't convert them properly but I haven't had a problem since 1998.
