Maybe i'll try that, i've got a panny xp-50 and it freezes as soon as I make a menu selection. Plays fine on the apex 1500, and I also noticed the stepping on long zooms. There was also some flickering during the Village Roadshow scene which worried me, but it didn't seem to continue into the movie.

All in all it's a pretty good release if your player can handle it.

(this was all without patch)

the flickering is part of the studio's little title thingy at the beginning. everyone stop mentioning it please. it was like that in the theatre too.

as for the menus. mine was fucked too. I have Pioneer. menu froze after a second or two, but could make a selection, and like StreetPreacher it didn't do much. could get it to play when chose chapter 1 title 1 on remote. anyone have ideas for fixing menus, or can describe an easy way to strip menus out altogether. fairly new to dvdr so I'm learning ifoedit bit by bit. don't want my hand held but I could probably pick it up in a few easy steps. thanks a lot!

get yourself ifoedit and go at it. www.ifoedit.com for the prog and at the top go to doom's page for the stripping tutorials

Matrix stuff

I just loaded dvd2one (1.2.0) and stripped teh subs and menu out as well, worked fine after that. only noticed teh stepping effect towards the end... but then again... beggers cant be choosers.

0 / 0 / 7 (before dvd2one)

-10 / -10 / 7 (after pointless patch)

8 / 9 / 7 (after dvd2one)
