Max bitrate for video svcd is 2400!! I realize the specs say 2600, along with vcdhelp.com and whatever dvd2svcd newb program you're running, but its 2400!!!!!. Do you honestly think setting the max to 2450 makes a damn bit of difference? Save people like me the time of having to re-encode your release properly.

Too much VCDEasy influence I take it since that warning pops up when you load mpeg2 video higher than 2400kbit max. Do a google search for philips SVCD specs and you'll see that you're making an idiot of yourself. TCF is being nice by using only 2450kbit max. (some Pioneers jiz on anything higher) since some groups use up to 2520kbit max. which is basically the cut off point for compatibility on most players. If you're DVD Player can't play 2450kbit then it truely is a piece of crap since I've never heard of such a thing other than a standalone uncapable of playing SVCD at all. And for those complaining about PAL, both my piece of shit Apex and my top notch Pioneer play it just fine Great movie also, 101% better than the 1st. 10/9/10

Some pixelation going on in scenes with lots of movement.

8/9/9

As SVCD versions of DVDRips go, this is right on par with most.

Looks good and is Damn early.

Cheers TCF.

p.s. NovaDude and labrat1 I wouldn't pick up another DVD player that can handle PAL. Just re-encode to NTSCfilm (the slight loss of 96 lines of vertical resolution will eat up any re-encoding artifacting issues) and you'll see the actual movie, not the PAL versions that are 4.03% faster than normal.

10/8/10

The audio on mine.. weirdly, the voices are sorta.. high pitched.. kinda weird.. and it's only a few voices.. oh well..

CD3 on mine had part 49 corrupted.. if anyone wants to send me a good copy of 49 from cd3, that'd be great.. other than that.. great rip.

TCF is definetly the man, Desertboy chuckles at your crazy yanks and your Pal/NTSC issues in the UK most TV's support Pal, Ntsc & Pal 60 so it's not a problem here.

If you don't have a TV that supports Pal or NTSC (For Pal users) then I recommend an xbox as your best choice (Chipped naturally, Desertboy strokes his Xbox.

As for the movie 8/9/7 A good rip but they're have been better.

Again, pHo, you made this comment in another thread, and I have to ask you to explain.

I routinely use the TMPGenc NTSCfilm SVCD template, and Burn with Nero as complient SVCD and it accepts this NTSCfilm SVCD MPG as complient with SVCD standards. I don't run pulldown either, so I know that the SVCD is at 23.976fps. I do not understand where you're coming from.

If you are tired of having to reencode or whatever than just buy a cheap dvd player that does support it and use it just for burned crap, it's not that crazy if you never actually buy dvd's and just vurn crap(even though i do BUY)
