but the Centropy version is better. Keep up the good work!

p.s: why are people haveing trouble with cd2 of the ctp release? It works fine, and i have a dvd player that doesnt recognize svcd's! I did the nero trick and it works beautifully..

idiot...

octane, you're a farging icehole. they cut that trailer for spiderman because it depicted an aircraft in extremely close vicinity to the towers...that would be a bit too much for a lot of people. it's not a matter of whether or not they left the towers in the background of the movie...

the helicopter thing wasn't even meant to be in the movie....it was a 'teaser'...like, "look, web...guess what movie this is going to be?"

jesus, some people are idiots.

The SVCD works fine for me, but I also burned a copy for a friend who has had problems with CD2 & 3. Easy fix: I extracted the movie from the disc/bin and reburned it in Nero. Worked great. By the way Nero recognised it as standard compliant.

Also recoded it to VCD for nephew, and there was a small but noticable difference in quality.

Also, there are DivX versions of this floating around, on one cd.

M_J, i'm having some trouble playing this, what is the nero trick? burning an svcd as a vcd?

Posted by Grimfull on 05-09-2002 02:08 AM:

I've tried everything to get this-- 20 Spiderman's posted in the newsgroups, and not one person has posted a decent 2 CD re-encode of the CTP release. Shouldn't we have a special category for *internal* releases that seem to exist solely to let other people know what they can't enjoy? I've always been grateful for anything I can get -- nobody owes me anything -- but posting these *internal* releases in this public forum is just flat-out wrong. Thanks, XPD, for nothing.

Posted by pHo on 05-09-2002 02:22 PM:

Internal releases are meant for siteops/affils only, and aren't generally supposed to be available to the public. Theres a fine line between what we report here when it comes to internals, it depends on the updator, and usually on how important the release is.

If a film is "needed" by a large group of people, or is spread more than a usual internal , then its genereally reported. An int of a film thats been done lots of times before that nobody really cares about is generally ignored.

Ok ive given up hope of ever finding this RL, therefore i am wondering... How the heck can u extract Cd2 to re-encode it. the damn thing is screwed up. the CTP SVCD always stops extracting at 17 mins 18 secs on tmpeng... can someone tell me how they got past this, to re-encode?

Posted by SumBastard on 05-10-2002 06:21 PM:

Wasted Download

this release has the audio desync. on my PC and on various DVD players. Just re-encode the SVCD yourself using the same method. AND yours WILL NOT deysync.

but overall... good effort by XPD. better luck next time.

Posted by monkey on 05-11-2002 03:07 AM:

Damn shame nobody has released this on any of the newsgroups

Posted by Jc100 on 05-11-2002 12:20 PM:

Wait i take my words back, LMAO i have the ability to get every release of this movie. However, I am doing my own encoding since NO one will tell me if the re-encode is better. I guess ill find out as if my encode sucks, ill go for this. SOmeone please give me some info. Is this a good re-encode or not? were glitches removed? was there any cropping? Does pic hold its quality? anyone please answer
