ok, im not sure here. but budsmoker here decided to write the following....

===================================
SeVcd's Starwars Episode 2 Is Only 1Hr32Mins
At Least FTF's Release is the full film
Respect To Ftf
===================================

im not sure because i havne't donwloaded either of the 2 groups releases because im actually going to witness this movie in a theatre.... but.... both of the groups' nfo's say the movie is 1hr 32min runtime... so i dont get why you are puttin SeVcd down when FTF's rip advertises the exact same runtime... seems to me like u need to get both releases to decide that argument before you start puttin a group down

peace out

Hmm, I wonder how much better it can be though..

Nice Input here..

Posted by starpc on 05-13-2002 05:24 AM:

FTF Runtime

FTF runtime is 2h 13min and 55 secs
while SeVcd's Starwars Episode 2 Is Only 1Hr32Mins
big difference,
I Time magazine Lucas even says Episode II is over 2 hours long, so how could SeVcd's release be the full movie.

Any true Star wars fan would be happy enough just to have FTF's release. (which looks damn good on my 27inch Sony TV)

this craps out of sync, dont judge by the sample pic, not worth the dl

Posted by Dio di Morte on 05-13-2002 05:55 AM:

Hmm

Ok, why are ppl sayin that FTF has the full movie and SEVcD only has a 1h 32min vid? The movie is 132min long, maybe they just screwed up the nfo. Who here has seen the full SEVcD ver? I think maybe the guy that wrote the nfo wansn't too quick and thought 132min was 1h 32min. Well I'll let you guys kno, I'm almost done getting it.

Peace,
Dio

typo

those were typos......instead of 1hr 32 min like it says its 132 min or 2 hr 12 min....

Posted by it3 on 05-13-2002 06:07 AM:

yep its pretty good..... compaired to the ftf version.....the nfo has the same mistake that ftf had saying it goes for 1hr32min...it ment 132min

Posted by poing on 05-13-2002 06:45 AM:

Thumbs down Reencode of havcd!

Are you people blind? This is so obviously just a reencode of HAFVCD and not a real new release. It's just the picture of HAFVCD zoomed in and cropped. This was rightfully nuked everywhere...

Posted by NIN on 05-13-2002 07:01 AM:

It is a better quality than the FTF. Good work!

Posted by metric152 on 05-13-2002 08:51 AM:

from the sample

Looks like this is much cleaner then the FTF version from the sample i grabbed. Its a little cropped on the sides but thats totally acceptable. Its also not at an angle like the FTF version. If CTP releases a ver it will probably look dope, but till then this is the best I've seen of Ep 2.

Posted by wwftheman316 on 05-13-2002 08:58 AM:

i think this is what they ment

hey i realy think that 1 hour 32 mins was ment to be 132 mins and they wrote it wrong it the only thing that can make since

Posted by DJSatane on 05-13-2002 09:01 AM:

WHy do all these VCD's say that runtime for this movie is 1 Hour 32 minutes in NFO files while officiall movie theater info on web says the movie run time should be 2 hours 12 minutes?!?!?!!!!!!!!

You guys are off your rockers, THIS IS A RECODE, as I was working on the exact same thing when this group pre'de this release. Its a recode of the HAFVCD, compare the picture, its been cropped and saturation / colour sorted a little and picture has been sharped up, I GET THE EXACT -= EXACT =- same results in TMPEG if I encode the hafvcd release. Try it for yourself, all you have to do in term of the audio if recode it to DUEL channel or JOINT channel and normalize it, this will knock volume down a bit, and also replicate the left channel to the right (you may have noticed this isn't a proper stero sound release.)

BUT Still, its a good release, saved me finished cd 2 that I was doing Props for speed

Has anyone else download this version cos mine starts at the first scene not with the openin credits, also i have the other two versions and this one seems to be the clearest sound and picture and is not the same as the other two as the second rls by Haf the camera angle is off centre where as this is dead straight. Good release by all accounts.

Only the sample mpeg is out of sync.

Posted by eric on 05-13-2002 01:20 PM:

no the movie is out of sync, not just the sample

Posted by ABMan on 05-13-2002 03:23 PM:

yup total reencode. I just did my own version, copying the audio over onto both channels, and ran it through tmpeg. same results really, though I didn't crop. just sharpened a bit.

Posted by Ten98 on 05-13-2002 03:42 PM:

Well, I'm watching it right now, looks perfectly synced to me.
