Ahh, finally, a decent framerate . Nice release, but I've seen the other one so I'm just gonna rate the sample :P.

9/9/10.1

Geez!!

I'm only writing this because I'm sick of reading other peoples posts who say things like "a bit washed out, sound hollow otherwise ok..." and I'm sure most of these people are judging on the jpeg and not a proper sample. I mean I've just saw the sample of this release and it is "slighty" better than the other wp's but not by much!! 1st post says best release yet?? Two words...Fuck off!! As cropped as tcr's is and although the audio is a bit muffled in places it's the best release imo because at least there is sync and it's not like looking at the picture with someone else's glasses on. So come on, who gives a flying fuck about who posts first. Just be honest and if not then that is very, very sad. I know I may get shit for this but at least I've seen this to comment. Phew, glad to get that off my chest.

There definately appears to be a sync problem in the sample.

Anyone with a full disc able to comment?

Have same question

Sample looked pretty desynched to me

Thank you, VideoCD! Although the picture quality only looks marginally better than the FTV/OPIUM WP, the corrected frame rate and lack of reel changes sets this one apart from the rest. No cropping as previously stated either, though the a/v sync seems to be slightly off but nothing I can't live with. Great release, VideoCD!

Video- 8 (VHS source)
Audio- 8(slightly out of sync)
Movie- 10

Shush. TCR was a cam, you could hear people laughing. Subtitles were cropped and tilted and video was washed out. This is from a decent source tape, has a good frame rate and the lip sync is only slightly off.

In my opinion, TCR was the worse release to watch, sound put me off so much. I haven't a clue how anyone can say a cam can rival a decent, widescreen direct source.

Upon viewing the complete release I discovered a reel change in disc 2 just before Showdown at House of Blue Leaves. I still stand behind my ratings though.

Any rls with the audio out of sync like this deserves a zero for audio.

Posted by allnighta on 10-25-2003 12:28 AM:

sorry but for me the orignal post by opium was the best, fair enough the framerate was iffy but the overall sample for sharpness and colour was better than this, and this one seems more pixalated

damn, are you all just rating the sample or the whole movie? i cant seem to find this rip of Kill Bill ANYWHERE (i do have the opium workprint, but this one sounds a lot better according to ya'll).. dont get me wrong, this is not a thread where i am asking where a movie is.. i actually have about 40 gigs of movies on my comp.. so i dont usually have any issues finding movies... i simply wanted to know by which means you are getting this rip.. newsgroups.. kazaa... mIRC? all i can find on IRC is the .avi rip.. i'm looking for the mpg.

but its all good.. i better not get banned for this, i just wanted to know who is having the best luck and with which source.

ahhhahahaha 40 gigs X) i have 160 just for music vids on it's own computer ^^ ... but then again, there's a few people where i hang out that have over a TB. man, that make me feel less than a man...

Posted by Beelzebud on 10-25-2003 05:38 AM:

Well i watched the actual release instead of a sample or jpeg, and I can say this IS the best release of this flick so far. Until a DVD rip comes along, I don't see anyone outdoing this, unless someone does a TC.

8.5/8/10

Same here, it's almost vapor. I've seen it two places or so but the lines were full.

Ya, this release took me a while to get. Had to do some requesting to find this fucker. I guess VideoCD wanted this to be really damn internal.

Top release though, but you need a good dvd player so it decodes the interlacing properly, rather than my POS that blurs the whole image when it trys to. Runs perfect with some de-interlaced featured programs, like VLC (www.videolan.org) etc.

8 - Video
8 - Audio
10 - Movie

I was having the same trouble...its on the newsgroups now...you know where to look.

I guess they should have marked it LIMITED

Limited means playing in select theaters. Internal was the proper label (means suppost to be just released in the grp), ... but wasnt that hard to get, picked it up right away and seen it around on IRC an hour after released. Search Harder
