Thunderpants-CAM Release

Right can someone explain to me where the print was actually stolen from , I cant see how an unreleased print of a movie can be stolen.........

To clear a few things up:

1: The CAM of Thunderpants was supplied to us on Friday night on video casette , from one of our suppliers in Manchester.

2: The print was supplied to him from LD-VCD who had already decided to release another print of this movie.

3: How can our print be stolen when group members of UTI actually state that this was the second print , that they werent goint to use . (Until that is they realised their other copy was damaged).

From what i can see UTI are just pissed cus in the end they had to release the same print because their other master was wrecked..........

If you gonna release these films yourselves , make sure you check them before you go selling your other prints to other suppliers, then you wont have to claim the print was stolen to make yourselves feel better about fucking up in the future.

We encoded this release ourselves off the supplied tape & released it a good 10 hours before UTI did.

So sorry guys , in future upload them before you decide to go selling them all over Manchester. Nearly everyone i know got hold of this print even before we uploaded it, so anyone could have beat you to it.

Print was stolen.............lmao, try to be a bit more professional about it guys & not be so bitter when you have to accept someone beat you to it.

Instead of sounding off about UTi being sore losers, asking why their release was 10 hrs later than Shocks and generally as Ferret seems to want to do, trying to excuse this 'misrepresentation' - I have been waiting for someone to ask the obvious question.

Where is and who has the original cam. footage ? I believe Uti / LD could produce it if necessary. Could Shock ?

Also, presumably the source of the leak will have now been capped. Therefore perhaps you should just wait eagerly for Shock's next rlse., but make sure you are sitting very, very comfortably and have plenty of time to hang around.

So you even acknowledge the print is from LD who has been a long time UTi supplier? The print was not given by LD under these circumstances and you damn well know it wasn't, and the print was not given to you. For a start, why the fuck would it be given on VHS? its a DV print, and is mastered straight to disc from the source. The source that UTi has. The discset was damaged, not some crappy VHS tape, and the second disc had to be fixed and tested until verified it was a working release.

The very fact you admit u had to encode off a VHS tape proves your release if any is going to have the Bad AR, and of worse quality, as the UTi is direct from source, not from DV>VCD>VHS>VCD which your "effort" is.

You keep saying "other" print all the time. You think after doing one print in a theater he's gonna go back in and do another one, just so SHoCK VCD , who he doesn't even know or want to know, can put their grubby mits over it?

Scum like you should stay out of the scene until you know a thing or two about how things operate. Some groups happen to take pride in their work, and risk a lot more than you have by lying back in your house, encoding off some shabby VHS copy your "supplier" (or "thief" as i'd rather put it) acquired. Why should you get the credit for something that had nothing to do with you? Grow up and get out of the scene before you go upsetting the wrong people.

As for the selling all over manchester.. you honestly think a group is stupid enough to sell a print before its even uploaded? As stated before, ONE of the discsets of the film was taken by deception, and that is why there were duplicates around the fairs the next day, where you had to purchase your copy. Hardly a master from the source is it?

Thankyou for your post, it was fun to read such naivity and blatent bullshit. Maybe, 5% of your facts are correct?

I couldnt answer that for you M8, You'd better ask LD-VCD as he was the one who personally sold the vhs copy to our supplier in Manchester. The so-called stolen copy only came around when they realised their other master was fucked .

Now which is the stupid group.

i have seen this film in the cinemas(my cousins wanted to see it!)- and it is absolutely fucking abysmal. but that's not what we're here to comment on is it.
what i wanted to say is firstly- uti-we in the uk salute you for releasing uk films so quickly-for that aspect you rule the roost and you can't be knocked.
however-whilst i respect you as i should(after all -i couldn't cap a film if i fucking tried!); i was just curious if anybody commenting on here has actually seen this print?. i say this because whilst a cam can be good -surely this doesn't deserve 8 across the board or whatever it is- and YES i have seen this version. my point is this-this is defo better than the about a boy release-it doesn't deserve such high marks. i mean-about a boy got similar marks and that was a pretty dire copy(great film-but appreciated rip)-how can a cap like about a boy get 8+ when half the screen gets cut off,heads get in the way etc.
this is more watchable-but doesnt deserve more than 6/5/-10.
people-i am sure we all appreciate the effort uti go to ,to bring us uk releases-but you shouldn't just rely upon that fact/jpegs to rate their releases.

ps-i haven't seen the shockvcd release-and i agree they are way out of line for nicking uti's print-but-again-surely if it was a direct rip of the same cap-then wouldn't it be of identical quality?. i mean if that is the case-why give uti's release 8+ and shockvcds 3+ out of 10?. regardless of how they got their release copy-shouldn't ratings be close to identical to?. we are here to judge quality of video/audio-not vote on comments/reputations.any rplies appreciated.

The prints aren't identical, shocks is taken from a second generation VHS copy, and UTi's is from the master. They say the a/r is different, so their print must be wrong.

This is getting tiring, just a thread full of idiots who still haven't even offered a single apology, and obviously knew they were wrong. Anyway, thanks to all the people who've stood the side of UTi, UTi promised they'll keep up releasing early UK flims, and guarantee that SHoCK will never see any of their prints again. Don't even bother fighting, your release didn't even get spread out, so most people don't even know you tried to pull this BS, which is for the best, as then you might be able to scrape a little of the reputation you are yet to acchieve.

erm-whose car was you proposing to steal(i know u meant as an example)-shockvcd's?....-i hope you weren't talking to me their-as i really appreciate uti's efforts-can't be praised enough for their contribution to the uk film vcd scene-as i said. all i meant was-that this doesn't deserve an 8+rating- it quite plainly doesn't come up to that level-but it is GREATLY APPRECIATED. as with regards to shockvcd's release- my mate said the release he has got is the shockvcd number and i've seen a 2min sample(not a lot i know!)-and i'd have to agree-it is worse. anyway-once again-despite the fucking awful film-cheers uti!.

I have searched my sites & i see sh0ck have released 5 films so far (all been accepted) & uti have released 5 (3 been nuked )
I just want to say W E L C O M E to the new group 'sh0ck-vcd'
also i wonder in a few months time when sh0ck release more & more if you will still be slagging them off.
Basically i thank ALL groups who release for our benefit keep up the good work .

Its ok , i was referring to the SHoCK members. They dont seem to have a clue about the release they put out, its quite funny actually. After the proper release was put out, UTi stopped caring, but when these lamers started trying to say it was there print after all this, well.. it makes people angry y'know.

As for the film.. well.. heh . its a kids film, quite a lot of people seem to be interested in it, so its cool they got an early print. Thing with kids films, after you've spent a lot of money on taking them to the theater and paid for all the food, tickets etc, its a lot of money, and the kids invariably want to see it again, so heres their chance.
