well

They did a horrible job on the capping of this i mean any of the fast movement scenes causes a ton of pixelation i can capture better using a $20 WinTV capture card

I dont even know how to rate this cause other then the horrible pixelation during movement scenes the picture is still kinda blurry but not that bad. Sound is very nice and movie well it was funny

5/8/8

heh , this is the Scr. DVDScr bleh , i'll wait till retail. I think we all noticed the "flickering" as said in all the other posts. As pho said could been better but looks like it was ran through a bad codec/encode.

Terrible

Please don't give this anymore high ratings..this is terrible..

Its glitches and pixelates half way through the movie on almost all the best scenes in a terrible way... Not worth watching or having..repack or Nuke this please..terrible release for such a great movie..and terrible wanted to watch this on XMAS..stick with the telesync..

video..3....terrible flicker and too many glitches..
audio 6 .. good but not great ..most screeners sound better.
overall..4 ...this is a terrible release for such a great movie..
waste of bandwidth..dvdscreener...I will wait on one

What a mess.

Good scores are misleading. Disk 1 is filled with pixelation and motion blur. Disk 2 is unwatchable.

Posted by dalton4life on 12-23-2003 03:20 PM:

7/8/7.5

Based on sample. The bottom blur line is not good of course but I can mask it. I'm more concerned people said it was loaded with motion blur and pixelation. I'm not gonna both downloading the whole thing since I already watched it and VideoCD TS was ok.

The Sample looks great but the movie becomes very bad at times. Also the Cue files had to be redone.

Posted by BongRipper on 12-23-2003 08:34 PM:

This is not a great release - where are the high numbers coming from?!?

Video should be a 9, but -5 for excessive pixelation/artifacts during any major movement. Watchable, mostly. Mostly...

Video 4

Audio is clear but a bit low at points, high at others, -5 for uneven levels. Also -1 for less than accurate audio synchronization.

Audio 4

Movie is fun for the kids, not bad for us grownups

Movie 7.5-8

That is my honest assessment after viewing this entire release on my TV thru my standalone Apex DVD player...

This should be nuked or repacked, wish peaple would stop rating on the samples, they are always misleading.
Pixelation through out the entire movie, not enjoyable at all.
Like watching an avi that has "AVIFix" applied to it every 5min of the movie. It even pixelated at a book opening up in one scene, come on now.

VIDEO: 4 (remember this is supose to be a screener)

AUDIO: 8

Movie: 8

This is a prime example of a non-standard rating system.
See my post in Timeline Logistic. This really has to stop, we are just wasting our bandwidth downloading releases because of the over rating on VCDquality. Tried to post this last night, but again someone felt it shouldn't be posted. Lets try this again.

video here SUCKS
is it only me or its pixelated to hell ?
every bit-to-fast-motion scene gets smudged with pixels on my tv and its irritating
also its a bit out of sync too
it has at the botton a line that is doing troubles
u cant really notice it on tv but its still there

not a really good screener, gonna wait for the usual tcf present for christmas coz this is like getting a sweder from grandma instead of an xbox lol

only good thing here is audio, but who cares of audio when video is total crap

4/8/8

Prop's very nice rls.

7/9/6

Respect giving out to the movie.

appears to be nuked across the board, at least from my sources, for the such blocky video, and CD2 being just horrid. No offense to DCi, but they've never really done good vcd vhs screeners, I thought I'd give them a shot again, what a let down ...

I'm not sure how the movie was at the end, 'cause I shut off during CD2, but the first part seemed to be ok, from what I've watched, I give a 7.5

audio is pretty good, I'll give it an 8

and video ... yeah ... about a -10, w00t

thanks for playin'

You're a little off base here, dude...this is a website where we rate the quality of releases, not where we suck the dicks of release groups in undying gratitude for the service they provide.

The hard reality of this scene is that groups come & groups go, and if a group doesn't like some hard criticism when they fuck up a release, they are welcome to take their ball & go home...there will be another group to take their place after a very short while.

Messes up in PowerDVD but plays fine in my dvd player. Good quality, and a great movie for any time of the year.

i thought it was my bad memorex cdr media causing pixelation. guess not. well i rate it a 6/8/7.. picture is tolerable..only grab this one if u really wanna see it, which i did. overall it was a good job. funny movie..but pixelation is a mess when fast scenes occur.

but the video itself has so many artifacts whenever there is movement... so i'd say its watchable but not that great after all

edit: by blur i meant flickering, and by movement i meant heavy movement like the guy running and stuff, the pic gets so blocky that u can't say if its a guy running or a mountain collapsing

I 2nd that fast movement = blocky, ill stick w/ the TS

At first look, you may think this is a good copy; however...
Any kind of quick movement ( even a book closing LOL ) means very bad pixelation. Although the audio and movie itself were good. 5 / 8 / 7

Posted by slurmman on 12-27-2003 07:36 AM:

there is no bottom flicker blur? what is that about? it looked fine on my dvd player, no 'bottom flicker blur' on it.

the video though is horribly pixlated. its barely watchable. a proper would rule, but it might not happen. when the video isnt pixlated, which is about 80% of the movie, it looks really good, a 7 or 8, but when its pixlated, which is often, probably more than 20% of the film actually, it only gets a 4 or 3 or less. really blocky and meh.

the sound is perfect. it only cracked maybe once. 8 (for screener audio).

movie is hilarious, great movie. 8.
