Just Watching This...Was Surprised That It Was Quite Good I Normally Hate Remakes But This Was Good
Quality Was Great
7/8/7
yeah, i agree with the other posts, cig burn's and no "property of" definatly seems to point to a good tc not a dvd screener.
but any way good quality non the less

I think all you saying this is a tc are crazy. Sure TC can look really great but not as good as a DVD and this has DVD quality. The cig burns are because they tired to make the movie look grimmy. It looked just the same at theaters.

This is good quality good film go with the dvdr if you can.
though the first bit of the film seems it might be a cam...lol
something is telling me that its not a dvd source.
I'm not sure if people realize this but alot of DVD Screeners are TC's that the movie companies put on DVD and distribute. I.E. POTC, and quite a few other "DVD Screeners" anyways... good release. 8/8/?

I just gotta say great release chakra weither it be a superb tc or dvdscr is up to u all to decide ( those cig burns are there and the opening of the film is cam like with the movement ) nonetheless i'm likin this release alot it looks good on my tv and audio is excellent 9/9/8 u cant touch the original but jessica biel ....damn
texas chainsaw is high in my top films
This is a excellent release, what a movie!
Thanks goes out to chakra for a great quality movie.
I enjoyed every part of it, however it did make me cringe a few times.
Also i have to say that the quote made in the nfo is some what an understatement.
" A psychotic killer runs rampant due to a serious face
deformity, terrorizing a group of friends passing
through town".
This guy should have been hunted by the army or somethin cos he is one screwed up ugly peice of work.
codec?
I downloaded this movie, but don't have the right codec. Which one should I use? I tried using GSpot to figure it out, but it said N/A.
what a nice release>no black and white,no marks, pic is verry clean
KEEP UP THAT GOOD Work @ CHAKRA 9/9/7,6
greetz to all
XerXoX
fucked up
Somthing is worng with the first part of the movie.
When i try to convert it to VCD it detects an error at 78% and the remaining 22%isnt writin to the VCD file.
Whats up with this??
Cna i fix it.
BTW the movie works find from my computer, just can convert the first part of the movie.
Can't get the movie to work properly
I downloaded this movie & when I burned the file to CD it won't play right. The movie plays but it plays in slow motion, lol. I also tried to encode the .bin file to a .mpg using VCDgear but the same thing happens. If I try to encode the .mpg file that I created using VCDgear with TMPGenc, it says that an mpeg stream cannot be found and/or the file is not supported. It won't play right on my DVD Player or my computer.
Excellent film quality. Sound great aswell, another great release.
First off, anyone who says that the quality of this screener is too good to be a telecine is wrong. To put matters straight, a telecine is a conversion from film to video or vice versa. The reason that you get bad ones is because whoever had access to these facilities probably leaves a telecine running over night on one picture setting. In order to do a successful telecine it is necessary to make sure that each individual shot has it's visual specifications altered appropriately. People don't generally do the process properly because it is illegal and these facilities are invariably in legitimate facilities that don't condone this sort of practice. Telecine potential is as good as the format to which it is being transfered to, i.e. DVD, VHS, DV, etc. How do you think legitimate studios and distributors transfer from film to video in order to sell there product to you; the consumer?
Secondly, Tobe Hooper's version of TCM was no masterpiece and i'm sorry if i've offended any die hard horror fans, but it's true. The original was, without doubt, an important and even ground breaking in its own right. The remake has sustained the feeling of helplessness from the original, as well as improving on the cinematography. The acting was better in the remake and they improved the god awful hitchhiker scene, which almost ruined the original. The later version had it's faults, i.e. the over elaborate chase scene at the end, but with the above list of improvements considered, i see no reason why not to conclude that the 2003 version is an all round better film.
Great rip (or telecine), great sound, good movie
10/10/8
Tobe Hoopers original recieves a 6.
