Sample looked and sounded great.. saw in the theatre yesterday, amazing stuff, can't wait for Tarantino's new movie, "Hero".. Tarantino and Jet Li? Yes sir!

Believe it or not, Hero has already been about for a few years.

There isn't really any action at all in vol. 2 anyway, so that scene is actually a decent choice for a sample. The only quick action is when Uma fights Daryl....

has f**k all to do with tarantino, just adding his name to things makes things sell.

The only reason his name is going to be assosciated with it at all is because mirimax bought the rights for N. American distribution and just sat on it doing nothing. Tarantino wanted to see it reelase, unedited, etc and so he pitched it to mirimax and they agreed if he would be the one to present it.

So really, it's Mirimax that is the problem, it's not tarantino that is merely adding his name to create sales. He just wants to see it released in N. America, so he's working with Zhang Yimou to get it done...basically jsut doing what he did with Iron Monkey.

i fucking despise miramax. i have nothing against tarantino putting his name on things, oliver stones done it before etc etc, its not really a new thing. hopefully at least this way it won't be cut, renamed, dubbed and edited with Bloodhound Gang playing "Yellow Fever" instead of the real theme*

* (a slight overexageration to the reality of miramax replacing the shaolin soccer theme with Kung-Fu Fighting. which is, pathetic. )

is anyone else having any trouble with cd 2 ?
33 mins into cd2 and the movie freezes burnt 2 cd's and getting the same problem

Props to TCR for being having the first Telesync, and a damn good one at that. Like everyone said, the color saturation is a little on the red/orange side, but the quality is almost flawless. Wondferul release!! Good job TCR, you've done it again.

8/8/?? based on previous reviews the movie sounds great, and the trailers seem very good as well.

Maybe I'll sound like a newb for this ... but why is the motion to streaky? Is it because of the framerate? It's like this on most of the telesycns i've seen, but i never really understood. It's the trail of something fast moving, if that helps.

I watched this release.. super quality. I wondered about the choice of scene for the sample. tcr usually makes a great selection there. but after seeing the whole movie, some was in black and white, much was dark and anything later would have been a spoiler. kudos tcr

from scanning abit through cd1, this looks pretty nice, opening b&w scene is very bluish, but other then the sometimes funky colors vid is pretty good. not too much is cropped, its on a slight, slight angle judging from the opening credits, but other then that the video above average. tcr seems to be always inconsistent with their audio from release to release, this one has decent audio, quiet scenes (like the sample) sound great, but soon as it starts to get loud, u get the high pitched, weird interference that some ts's have. overall it is good audio tho, not bad, but not great (videocd releases). movie, i saw in theatres yesterday, and it was awesome leaps better then the first, can't wait to finish picking up the rest of this, dieing to watch this movie again.

hate to break it to ya Scorch, but Hero has been out for over a year in Japan. Its good but not great.. One on the best one on one fights between two kung fu masters Donnie Yen and Jet Li.. Movie was a let down. Check it out officially at YesAsia.com or wait for the sure to be awful dubbed rls...Thought u might wanna know lata

Very Nice indeed TCR.. I too saw this one in theatres and was like its gonna take a good group to pull this one off.. The pic is very good a lil bit Orange in color, but pretty good none the less. I didn't have the audio hiss, but might be because i burned it to watch back to back with my Import Unrated...As for the movie, it was ok.. I liked 1 for the Action and 2 for the story.. Not enuff fights for all the hype, but good none the less.. Glad to see you are back TCR.. Not your best, but certainly in your TOP 10..Now how bout the Punisher..Hint, Hint.. Enjoy this Awesome 3CD TS..True fans its worth a look in theatres.. Nice too watch em at home back to back though Enjoy!!!!

Great job TCR doesn't matter who wins the race as long as your copy looks this good. Saw this movie last night, hopeing this copy has the bloopers at the end.. or maybe someone could tell me cuase I had to walk out early from the movies. Great Audio, the color slightly off but nothing stopping you from watching it. 8/8/10

Nice quality indeed, I don't have much to add to previous people's opinions. Yes, video is very clear and audio's the same. Excellent flick, too.

after watching the full release, i must say that it is impressive. i did not think that this good a release would be available so quickly, with the scene being what it is of late. im not sure but on the end of cd2 the screen gets like split up or something, like the bottom part of the movie is at top, its really weird, im wondering if its in the actual movie or what? movie itself was great, i loved it, the series was a great one.

*from sample*

pic is nice, oversaturated but fine, fairly sharp and strong detail. slight angle, but nothing to write home about. sound is passable, well better than that. the only complaint is a bit of hollowness, and some high pitch whine. nothing a reasonable fiddling with equalizer cant fix. movie itself blows part one away, and indeed stands as a great film in its own right. go see it in theatres first, then grab this copy. I'd say this will be good nuff till a dvd rip, passing any vhs screeners right by.

I wish they didnt choose this scene for the sample, it kinda gives some stuff away. but whatever.

very gj TCR.

Where are the flashback scenes with Uma and David in the village? Miramax decided to leave them out of the cinema version?

Posted by Vertrif on 04-18-2004 12:55 PM:

6/8/10.. i don't understand how people vote.. this release video does not deserve an 8.. that is just way too high, espceially if the video is sooo blue the first 17 min of the movie, but you see a guy in pure colour walking in the theatre.. it's just insane... the audio however is amazing....
