Ack...

I've been reading there is a 3rd subtitle track on the Japan un-cut DVD which only subs the Japanese speech. Option not in the menu, just through hitting the subtitle button on the remote. Anyone know if this is true? It's cut from the TWC version, I wonder if it is intact in the retail Jap version (which would really suck since it's not on the DVD-R).

Any light on this issue would be cool...

Sorry for being so damn harsh but that's the way I am

Now the only thing that bothers me in this uncut version is the menus I just wish it was in english seeing that I'm not Japanese.

Is there anyway to change it to english?

Is there someone that is Japanese here?

Thanks

haha play!

it appears that this patch fixes only problems with dvd player combatibility issues. It does not seem to fix any of the sub title problems.

Can anyone confirm the 3rd audio track that contains the "alien" subs?

or do we still have to wait for another release?!?

Posted by playstationer on 04-20-2004 12:03 AM:

I don't understand why people are going by hear say?

I have talked to [im really retarded because i put FUCKING GROUP NICKS IN MY POSTS] from TWCiSO and the DVDr is competely fine.

Maybe you guys should go out and buy a really good DVD Player
and throw your walmart welfare crap in the trash.

This release is perfectly functional I have personally checked every damn VTS SECTOR on it and everything was and is intact

So I don't give a shit what J3FF or any other somebody has to say.

TWCiSO did thier part in giving us this wonderful release!

Lesson of the day;

GET A REAL DVD PLAYER AND MAYBE YOU WONT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS!!!

Thanks again TWCiSO

it appears that according to J3FF there is more then just the fix with the VTS sectors.. anyone know whatelse is wrong before i decide to burn the dvdr. too bad the main menu doesn't have a english button but o wells nice quality and good job for releasing it twiso enough though theres are said to be some problems.

Well, ummm, yeah. The subs are messed up. Don't care what people say. There are no forced subs so when there is japanese speech there are no subs. Have to turn subs on to get them, but then the subs are always one throughout the movie. That is with both Eng sub tracks, which also doesn't make much sense to me. Unfortunately the ppf does not fix the forced sub issue.

Man, how can this be messed up "hard" when it works perfectly?! I am confoosed...

What does this patch do? Didn't see it around anywhere.

Has anyone been able to get the english-sub for Japenese speaking working, if they exist? When I play this release in WinDVD/PowerDVD it has two English subs but both are full English subs. I heard there is a third sub for english only when Japenese speaking but have not been able to locate it.

i think this release needs to be redone (or proper?).. the forced subs dont come on and you need to hit the SUBS button to turn them on which really kind of gets annyoing.. the ppf patch dosnt/wouldnt fix this.. i tried.

apparently there is another sub track on the disc that has the forced subs so only during jap talk the subs come up, maybe this jap version dosnt have them but im sure it would..

great release otherwise! this is the version to have boys.. but i would like to know if any of that will be fixed..

peace

I got the original dvd, there is no '3rd english sub track'. Just 2 full english subbed ones. And that PPF patch is fake.

Posted by bush on 04-20-2004 12:04 PM:

Is it possible to make a patch that would turn on the english subs just for the japaneese?

Just making sure... So if you are watching the movie, you hit the subtitle button and cycle through the subs, there is no hidden English subs only during Jap speech?

Reason I wrote this is because the menu was absent of this option (from what I read). I am trying to bury the hatchet on this topic for good too

Side note: I guess it makes sense. Japanese people wouldn't need jap subs only during jap parts

the ppf is really but it only fixes stuff you could fix yourself in ifoedit in 2 secs

I don't think there will be a proper... Especially since we are only assuming there are forced subs on the retail.

This is another "Big Fish" debate... IMO, until we get confirmation that these forced subs even exist, there shouldn't even be a whisper of the word "proper".

well does the retail have forced subs or not? someone let us know!!

Yes... The English subs for Jap only are available

Easy. On main menu select the bottom (fourth) option. The select the fifth option (second from the bottom). Your selection cursor will no go to the far right, click enter.
Easy, now you get subs for the Jap speaking only, nothing else.

Cheers

well from what i gathered up the retail version of KB VOL 1 Uncut has the subtitles on throughout the movie and is only able to be removed with the simple use of the remote control. that is what i read on imdb but maybe i'm wrong.. there seems to be a proper version created Jurai. haven't check it out yet as i think he just encode the subtitles on japanese scenes himself.
