I'll stick with the orginal .avi they were both re-encoded from, with XBMC I'll be able to clear it up without having to re-encode.

Why was this and the VCDCentral release nuked? I don't have access to that type of information.

And is it worth getting either of these if they are just re-encodes of the origanal .avi's, should I just get them and do the cleaning up myself.

Dunno why nuked , prob for re encode my guess.

If you have the avi probably be quicker to encode it yourself. I had the divx (.avi) before either VCD pre'd and gave a quick 20 min run through TMPGEnc and looks just like these copies. If ya wanna take the angle out just add the WS bars & crop it a bit like VCDCentral did, makes it look better.

Anyone got any guides or advice on how to clean this up a little when converting it to a VCD from the .avi's? I've cropped it a bit, but looks really grainy after it's been through the deinterlace thingy. Thanks

I agree. This is probably gonna be it until a VHS/DVD screener. And even then, there's no guarantee a group will rip it properly. Some groups arent the brightest at ripping screeners
