Now if the sound resembled each other - the frames were better on iMPERIALs , and the picture was much much better as it is .... sounds like a valid proper to me.

Now lets look back in Time ... ahhh a movie comes to mind - Hellboy! BAHA , MPT , Centropy all clearly *same sources* (unlike this movie - The Punisher ), what was the difference in them. Better Picture , Better Sound , Better Encoding. Wow Centropy didnt get nuked.

Which brings me to the point: (thinking to an nfo from BAHA 2 days ago SM3-VOB.NF0.nfo) Quote reason #3: "the scene still hates new groups"

I hate to say it but i will , Had this said -Centropy , -TCR on it or had iMPERIAL not propered "-TCF", they mighta stood a chance everywhere. Instead nukers love to hate new grps and even though this is clearly a much better copy then TCF - nuke it for not needed? pffff

No im not with iMPERIAL release grp. Im just tired of all the sheep nukers out there who need to go back to 10mb's.

I had to continue the post, cause i completely forgot the best part of this movie...well i forgot to elaborate how good the death was in the beginning. There is so much death in the first 10 mins of the film, they dont just kill 1 10yr old kid, they kill like 8 of them and an entire family..and they show you the kids faces before the guns go off in them...like shit like that isnt really shown too much in comic films, and im glad they didnt dumb the violence down for this flick..shit if any of you even read the comic, the War Journal and the Christmas special where he knifes a villian dressed as santa clause..ALONE are amazing comics...some of the best.. violent, dark, and explosive...doin this in the film allows for an anything goes premise in the movie...you just watched a family and 10 yr old kids slaughtered..you have no idea what this man would do...if you were in his position, you would prolly do the same...the next scene is ridden with whether or not he kills a stooly, lets him live, or burns him to death...the whole movie is like that, you just dont know what he will do...shit even when he fights with the russian, he gets his ass kicked, untill he is knocked into the neighbor's ...DIRECTLY looks at the hot neighbor and the other two losers who admire him, and just has this "fuck this, i gotta save some face look" and boom he is kicking ass...FOLKS THATS A COMIC BOOK, FOLKS THATS A MOVIE...THAT MY FRIENDS IS MARVEL!

This Release is under rated!

This is a really good release. Don't judge it just because the movie wasn't what you were expecting. It's the freaking Punisher FFS! The story is sposse to be like that, dark, stale, aboding. If you were expecting Xmen or Blade, forget it. Thats why it's getting slammed by anybody and everybody with a pen and a pot to piss in, cause thats what they are writing like, pissin' all over this film. If any of those guys read Dark Horse comics, or even a Punisher comic from Marvel would know this was true to form.
For the movie the pic was the best! Better than most of the "perfect ones".

Why only 7's for sound and pic?

Definitely better than Kill Bill 2 from the other groups.

This is quite possibly the least needed proper ever. It's same source with a slightly better enocde and AR. The sample shows it's the same source because both versions have the same tape pop right before the guy asks Castle where's he's been. At least this is better than the TCF version but not by much. I thought it was enjoyable action flick. Thomas Jane's portrayal was pretty dead on for how I evisioned The Punisher being as real life person. It would have been cool if he was a little bigger like Dolph Lundgren but he was still good. Marvel gets it right once again.

quite interesting reading this thread, reading everyones views, i think everyone has made some interesting points, but at the end of the day the this is a good release, audio is good and pic also (if not slightly grainy)

color was ok a bit dark at parts, audio was good too.

keep up the good work

I liked the movies even though they putchered the story how his family was murdered.. but it was a nice release

Hope they keep then atleast that this level instead of 2.5 type releases

definately the best of the three releases so far, mainly as the audio is direct, solving the problems of the sWs release.

picture - still pixellated, not nearly as seriously as before, colours are much better, however it is a little dark.

audio - sweet, pretty direct, a mile better than the sWs rip, thank god!!

movie - really liked it, see my sWs post for my full feelings on this film

i agree commiewhore - this movie was alot better then recent Marvel Comic's played out on the big screen latley. My Still fav's are Spiderman & X-Men . Overall i was expecting another hollywood disapointment like Hellboy , The Hulk , DareDevil, League of Extrodinary Gentelmen, trying to make a quick $$$ off of a well liked comic hero. I read alot of "The Punisher" comics as a kid and i thought this movie was played out pretty good. Only thing that didnt seem "believeable" was his healing time - he wasnt like "Wolverine" in "X-Men" where he gets hurt & heals seconds later. Some of the scenes in this movie he took a shit kicking ie: The Russian guy who beat the hell outta him but yet later on he still went out & kicked some ass. The Movie in general was pretty good played out towards to comics and enjoyable , not a favorite Marvel comic movie but still way better then the crap hollywood has been producing the last two years.

loved the movie.

about the violence....well...there is some violence..
but nothing like you havent seen.
especially in the beginning, most of it goes in your head...
as you dont see it explicitly...(vcd that is..since i havent been able to watch a fuckin dubbed version in the german theatre yet...lol)

this quality wasnt too bad a pair of 7's i'd say. and for the movie i thought it was good, exspecially when the russian dude which was Kevin Nash from wwf/wcw, kicks his ass. one of the good moments hah, good fight.

I thought the sound was a bit better, video was clean with no slow frames etc. The movie overall was alright, but not too exciting.

Pretty much straight "blah" release.
Watchable, but nothing spectacular. I did like the movie though.
Bout damn time a Marvel movie was darker and not afraid to be mean-spirited. The Punisher isnt nice, and isn't depicted as being so here.
