VideoCD release can be easyly fix by rewriting the headers of CD1 with tmpegenc.
Quick question, how exactly do you do this, not used tmpegenc much...

http://raash.abe2k.net/svcd2vcd/

this all happens after you mount the bin file

unless someone has come up with away to rewrite the vcd headers of an image file?

Posted by DoxxY on 06-01-2004 05:55 AM:

yep gave it a try, works great just missing ending now. I will just grab cd2 of some other somewhat viewable release.

Posted by misfits138 on 06-01-2004 06:02 AM:

how much of the ending are we talking about? a few seconds or a big chunk?

Posted by Roger on 06-01-2004 06:27 AM:

its missing like 45 sec of ending, no dialog, no biggie

Posted by misfits138 on 06-01-2004 06:30 AM:

hmmm... after you fix the major problem with the release (cd1 freezing) this is great quality.

Okay thanks I though it was a few minutes or something. I wont bother then. Release is great and problem easily solved. Good job videocd we all make mistakes sometimes.

also in the VIDEOCD release the subs are in english, which is wierd since videocd has french suppliers.

Posted by BLUE-NEO on 06-01-2004 08:52 AM:

Same damn version as the vcd copy ..same ass wipe standing in front of the camera on exact same scenes...just better audio and some adjustments to picture...

7/9/?

Also the videocd version is missing exactly 3 mins and 37 seconds of the movie before the credits alot of plot was in those minutes so its a imcomplete version..no matter how great the quality.

videocd

9/9/? too bad about the ending

humm guess they just can't take responsibility they they actually messed up. As we all know it actually worked for NO ONE. They also said some unkind things to nforce. This doesn't make you look very good videocd, just take the responsibility that you messed up on cd1 AND that the ending is missing. Your lucky you release good quility movies.

vcd released a proper ts. grabbing it now. can always count on vcd

Posted by KrackZaa on 06-01-2004 06:00 PM:

well i tried that fix but i think it made the mpg too big, did anyone else have this problem?

even if the ending is missing, trust me take the videocd release over any of the others, once the freeze issue is fixed.

this: 6/6

videocd: 9/9

movie was ehhhhhhhhh

edit:::::

The.Day.After.Tomorow.PROPER.SVCD.TELESYNC.CD1.REPACK-VideoCD

there it is thank god i didnt have to wait and deal with the header issue. thanks videocd

I watched this release on my big screen last night after I fixed cd1, this is missing alot of the ending. Where it cuts off makes no sense. Anyone know exactly how much is missing?

Posted by Felix-the-cat on 06-01-2004 07:17 PM:

Angry GRR

Why do they release movies if they are not worth viewing

Just finished sapling the movie in some spots and the Video and audio is outa sync in this release near the end of each cd..

v :5 A 3 Overall no clue havent waatched it 100% because i wana see it not watch it as a bad lipped kung fu movie

Posted by Cygnus on 06-01-2004 10:45 PM:

Question

NE1 know of this one:

"Day After Tomorrow-Proper Cintax SVCD TS LD(www.webmarder.6x.to)"

Looks like an SVCD TS release from Laserdisk, or am i way too optimistic?

Found this 1 on suprnova btw...

Posted by Beaver35 on 06-01-2004 11:56 PM:

Picture ok but sound

Sound is very bad. Picture is good for a vcd..But the sound is like they are talking in a tunnel..

Posted by sexyblkangel on 06-02-2004 05:27 AM:

i can never get anything from videocd to work. seems that all their movies are PAL encoded. which doesn't play on my dvd player. it's black and white and just rolls. so if ya could...anybody, tell me what would be the next best thing to download?
