-- Van Helsing *SVCD* - TELECINE - Chakra (http://forum.vcdq.com/showthread.php?threadid=41474)

A good telecine but I've seen better. Does this have the whole ending untill credits? That's what would make me want to download all of it since the VideoCD TS was good except it was a bit grainy and missing some of the ending.

INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you encode this footage to about 4000 kbps and convert it to play on your standalone, it LITERALLY looks of the quality of a commerical DVD! You can NOT tell the difference! I showed it to a buddy of mine, and the 1st thing he said was "DAMN! Van Helsing's already been released on DVD!?!?!?!" I've never seen anything like this in terms of quality form a NON screener. This is only the 2nd time that I'll be giving a non commerical release a perfect 10 in quality, but I gotta do what I gotta do:

1. Video - 10
2. Audio - 10
3. Movie - 8.5

AMAZING.........

Just watched the movie and as far as I'm concerned the quality is awsome.

I'd take this over a DVD screener with black and white sections and anti piracy text any day.

Download this, it will keep you happy until the DVD release.

For what its worth, I enjoyed the movie also.

9/9/8 for me!

Well done Chakra, Lets hope your sources can give us more TCs like this!

Sweet rel. Definitely best of what's available so far!

Not DVDSCR qual as some ppl say of course but still very good quality (and no nags, b/w or timecodes we're used from DVDSCR).

8/9/7

The video isn't perfect, but it is one of the best ts you will ever see for such a dark movie. If this group starts to release on a regular basis VideoCD better bring their "A" game every time or settle for second best.

Posted by Frosty-E on 06-07-2004 07:49 PM:

dude its not a TS

a TeleCine machine copies the movie frame by frame off the reel so it should be of high quality

and this group is mostly releasing dvdrips

dont think it ever seen a Chakra TS...

8.5/9/6

Wow. Very impressive, Great aspect ratio.

This is the first Telecine I've seen, and it's far superior to a SCREENER and probably the next best thing after a DVD rip.

Fantastic release which totally blew my expectations out of the water -in terms of quality for the video and sound.

Just like the guy above, my friends not familiar with the scene were wondering how it already came out to DVD.

10.10.7.5

This is very nice indeed we just need more of these and we will all be happy

Picture was very clear and the dark parts of the film were all so clear and you could make out the detail of things in the background and apart from some specs that appear hear and there (probly in the source and no diferent to what you would see in cinema's.

this is as near to perfect as you are going to get and untill a DVD Scr pops its head up get this. Thats of course aslong as there are no water marks, nag screens, B&W sections in the DVD Scr if so i will be sticking to this.

Audio sounds great on PC 5.1 and Stand alone 5.1

Movie it self rocks and is worthy of the trip to the cinema to watch

Rating:- Pic - 9 / Audio - 9 / Movie - 9.2

wow, this movie was terrible but glad to see a good TC....of a terrible movie...heh.

i cant remember now when CGI wasnt used to liven up a plot suitable to fans of children's teletubbies, let alone Frankenstein being suitable to star in a scooby doo mystery ...its a time where viewers crave blamless exploiting of good in all movies, having a nice quote, hollywood, unquote, ending to a blockbuster movie. cgi wasnt done as well as it could have been, and the mystical , demonic creatures that we all know and love as having that sheer realism that bram stoker's dracula tried to push into our minds...different generation so different audience...fast paced violence with a hint humor as to make it seem fun...so this movie may not have done well to all viewers. comic/action genre fans will like it, cause of the mindless action, but if they are also movie fans of other genres will sort of hate it, due to its cartoony characters and poor cgi depictions of what is to be terrifying not Broadway Musical Type Funny ....which is disturbing somewhat to an average viewer. so with that in mind , here are my votes for this year's worst or best movie..

avg viewer

7/7/4

viewer of today

enjoy
