Mayb it was his pc i dunno, but somethin is fishy.

Nothing fishy, Anybody who knows the first thing about digital video would have spotted how bad this conversion is. Maybe you are watching on poor equipment where it doesn't matter anyway, or maybe you are used to jerky VCD encodes, which are often 29.97 fps progressive as well, but trust me, a DVD to SVCD encode should either be 23.976 fps with 3:2 pulldown enabled, or failing that, 29.97 fps interlaced, not progressive. 99% of all releases get this right. It's not difficult... except for whomever released this version, I suppose.

That's why I'm complaining. Hope it made it clearer.

played perfectly fine for me and there werent any duplicated scenes.........but the text @ the bottom can get kinda annoying and the B&W scenes come in durin the best parts of the movie :-\

Not duplicate scenes... duplicate frames. It's pretty obvious during pans, but if you still can't see it, try and put your DVD player in pause mode, find a scene where the camera moves and step through the frames 1 by 1. You will notice a pause on every 5th frame because it's a duplicate of the previous one. This is what happens when a newbie converts a DVD, because they think it has to be 29.97, so they deinterlace it, but you should never, never, never, ever deinterlace an SVCD.

Scanned through the release, not bad at all. WS thank god. This will be it for me on this movie, but if you want the unrated, go with the FS dvdscr or wait for a retail rip.

On the movie, much better than I thought it was gonna be. Not ground-breaking by any means, but definitely a good flick
