lol wtf is that menu? i leeched this on my slow ass 512 adsl and the menu is ultimate shit

video: 10
audio: 10
movie: 7.5

Video is solid enough for a look...Definitely needed everything stripped (extras) to preserve the special effects-Especially when this is a 2 hour movie., so I dont miss them .
The menu is complete sh*t, and is definitly suspected to be NON-R1... But Im not one to care about a menu...

My scoring is based on an untouched DVD release.

9/10/xx

The reason this DVD has such a simple menu is thats its a RENTAL only dvd, its not the retail product. The DVD would have had the movie only and no extra's. We get these dvd's all the time in R4, as this allows for the movie studio to make money from rentals and when the retail comes out people havent already seen the extra's so it gives them more incentive to buy.

i feel duped that its not a R1 dvd.....pretty pissed bout that....but whatever, i would never buy this, so i guesss this will do unless some other grp with it wants to proper...heh.

video = 8

audio = 7 everything ripped cept english, i guess its real 5.1

movie = 6 its a happy film

agree with kid606

I rent dvds in the UK PAL Region 2 and i have seen some of these before

Its retail version but a rental version

Can't argue with it, Great Video and Audio. Sure the menu looks as many people said like a rental. All i want is the movie sure i prefer a real fancy menu but who cares, I watch the movie not the menu. Nice release burger keep them coming.

As kid606 says this is NOT a custom menu but a RENTAL menu i have a few DVDs with menus like these which i ripped from rental myself (U.K Rentals)

I think most countries use them

I gotta admit, I have never seen a menu such as this on ANY uk rental I have ripped. Extras have gone yeah, not all audio tracks and subs are on the discs yeah, but never ever at the expense of the original menu. I totally agree that this may be the case in R4 or wherever it is from, but in UK, I personally have never seen it. I could rattle up a menu like that in 1 minute using tmpgenc dvd author, so I would have thought that the film companies would have more advanced menu making equipment than poor old me

Ive seen quite a few rental dvd,s sporting this kind of menu
it is a genuine 20th century fox rental menu.

Some of the rentals ive had with this menu

Daredevil
Behind Enemy Lines
The One

there is no 5.1 sound on this release.

Thats interesting info. Here in the states, rental dvds are no different than retail.

Menu definately threw me off but movie was crisp.
