its cool

as the wise few have said its defo a rental - and the sound seems perfect to me - :]

only 1 teeny tiny nag:

on a pc (prolly unoticable on a tv) horizontal lines are visible (interlacing??) - now i'm not dissin this - its a much better encode than i could do... but without that it would be perfect!

u say it doesent have 'standard sound' what are the standard for sound video? this cant be far off - its gr8!

:]

and wtf are pdvd and fs (i'm guessing full screen)?

All in All a fairly impressive rip

I just finished watching the Resident Evil thingy and i was quite impressed w/ quality overall. At times i thought the audio was somewhat unbalanced as the soundtrack seemed to overpower the rest of the audio. Picture was a bit dark but besides that i have no other complaints.

Good Job Xtreme (I know you guys can do better though)

Looking Forward to more of your rls'

Much Love and Peace to the Godz

Am I the only one having problems with this release? When I burn it, my DVD player says it is an invalid format, and if I try to extract it to watch on my computer, the audio and video are out of sync, and the videos are only like 30 minutes long each.

so out of a choice of widescreen and fullscreen they chose fullscreen?

oh my sweet lord.

if i ever met the person responsible for purposely inflicting a p&s over a ws on the world, i'd probably remove their genitalia. no seriously. thats a crime of cinema, and one im not gonna let stand.

same with whoever released Seventh Seal in an English Dub. you're going to hell boys

The covers jpegs that they included with this release was from the official chinese version which is exactly the same version as I have sitting in my dvd collection now.

I'll give you some little tell tale signs :

in the picture of the front cover, the bottom left of the cover is a small oval shaped sticker ( this is the shiny dts sticker that is slapped on most chinese / malaysian dvd's even though it contains no dts soundtrack ), the region 1 version has no dts soundtrack & even if it did they do not put cheap looking shiny dts stickers on the cover.

I got it from a local importer, the region 1 version has a totally different cover & is NOT double sided at all !!!

How do I know this ??

Coz I work in a DVD Store & any trade sheets we have received have stated that the region 1 version is a widescreen release only.

If you are such an unbeleiver then give me your e-mail address & i'll send you a scan of the complete cover & cd for you to check against the jpegs of this release.

The audio and video quality are excellent...no matter what the heck it is. I agree with pHo that whoever decided to make it PS from Widescreen ought to be hung by his balls But seriously, this is good quality and that's the important part, right? Not where it came from? Let's not nit-pick here guys. As far as the show, it really kicked serious ass...the best part I thought was when the people were stuck in the hallway with the laser beam coming down...seriously cool sh*t there. I rate this a 9/9/8.
