video - 8 - typical maven, awesome, some grainy spots and a little motion blur, but totally watchable

audio - 10 - perfect DTS transfer, perfectly synced

movie - ? - going to see this one in the theater with a hottie this weekend

Erm, this isn't an asian bootleg.

1) It was filmed in Canada/France
2) It's a homemade telesync
3) If it WAS a bought bootleg, it would've been out sooner and the quality would've been shittier.

If ppl took the time to read the forums, they'd know this aint no street tape/dvd, asian or NYstreet.
And the others in this post would know the diff between a Cam and a TS.

Most of the UK use the expression Missus, and I doubt you'd find many hillbillys here, and POT mostly release Cams cause they can rarely get a Direct or DTS Audio source, even FBC can manage that from time to time.

Actually, LOL. You're both wrong, but close, and maVen releases always take nearly a week. They always pre on Monday or Tuesday following the release of the movie. Of course an SVCD TS with Direct Source Synced DTS audio track is better than CaM, quit your bitching and enjoy what u got

Absolutely true..Did anyone watch El Captiat del Worlde of tomorrow or whatever, was it just me or did they actually hack the release and add in the English Subtitles.HEHE..Asian bootlegs and NYC CAMS blow ass. maVen's Captain had a bit of sync issue. Did anyone notice it? Also are these sync issue fixable. I notice that the sync issues occur like mid way thru the movie.

Im not sure so thats why I post this question to the experts here. Could it be a puter issue. Any help would be appreciated.

By the way i just extract the bins with vcdgear and burn them straight to dvd cause my player (Philips DVP642) plays everything raw.

I have also used SVCD2DVD with just about the same sync issues.
Also tried Womble to no avail. Not all releases have these sync issues but most im having trouble with. Stumped!

Lets see...Roger...i guess you sell these stuff yourself to be talking like that. Selling these releases just aint right, so the usefulness of those releases aint justified by if they are good for selling.

CAMs and telesyncs are very different, maybe not on what equipment is used but what quality they give you. Sound is not the only difference. Video quality on telesyncs is much better.

And yes as long as it's free then be happy, but watching a 'good' movie on cam quality just destroys it.

That's why ppl stick with MaVen, cause they provide quality releases and not just quantity.

No offense to POT or any groups that release only CAMs, just saying why MaVen rocks.

Yes I noticed that also but if I pause the movie and wait a few seconds then resume it goes back to normal. Maven's stuff always does that for me. More than likely it is my DVD player but I don't have that problem with other groups. I live with it anyway. It's free and Maven has the best out there most of the time.

Video seemed a tad dark in certian places. Was it like that in the theater?

Sound was excellent as always.

I liked the movie. I probally won't watch it again but I don't hate it nor do I think I wasted my time viewing it.

Don't know if anyone else noticed it but at the end of the 2nd cd there is a scene where there is a very loud hum noise for about 45 seconds. I dont know if it happen when I re encoded to dvd using Nero or what. Can anyone else confirm this before I use nero again?

Sound - 8.5 (seems a lil out of sync towards the end)
