Cant ask for more for video quality, but the sound is in a bit of a mess (on all 3 rlses). It reminds me a bit of maven`s collateral, where the background music would drone out the speech in a lot of places.
Not complaining too much for obvious reasons though, although in hindsight i would of not bothered to d\l the repack.

Great first rls though Movie, good luck on future ones

nice release..

Watched this all the way through tonight. Absolutely a workprint. No question about that. There are scenes where there are special effects missing, and the sound is a total and utter mess. There are parts where you can't hear what alfie is saying over the music, and there are parts where the sound mix changes completely (ie there is background noise on one cut and no background noise on another shot of the same scene).

Not MOViE's fault but they could at least have labeled their release properly.

Movie isn't as great as I was lead to believe.

is there anyway to fix the sound?

work print 100%
its ok has a few parts in the film where sound is a little dodgy and a few effects missing where it gos green.
other then that its fine.

Pretty good release, and fast. Judging by the whole movie I would give the video an 8.5 and the audio a 7. The audio is good and clear but the music drowns the voices out at times.

very nice rls from this new grp, lets hope we see more of 'em

lamers

Would you lying sacks of sh*t shut the hell up. Its a f*cking workprint. Those of you yammering on about quality this and color that need to actually watch the damn thing. Stop trying to sound like you have elite access. Your posting about how great the film is, truly shows that you don't know shit.

[EDIT:: And people question why I post the rules in every thread? Maybe if we start banning a few of you instead of threatening it, the message will sink in! Wave goodbye to "viper359" - Neversoft]

LOL, if he actually had a point in what he was saying then it would make sense, though he should of put it better.

Apart from the slightly distorted sound, and the Green screen bits (which make me laugh anyway) i still stick by what i said about this being the best VCD screener/workprint ive
ever saw, ive stopped bothering with Screeners recently, but if they all looked like it would be great.

Don't know what all the problems with CD1 is, I was able to override the corupt file and make the DVD still. Great quality for a release now on the screens.

Just watched the whole thing 10mins ago, good film.

Quality wise:
Picture: 9.5 for me (best screener I've seen in a long time)
Sound: 7 ish (bit fucked at times, as has been said)

Posted by deusx on 10-27-2004 04:35 AM:

vcdquality has ruined me for release dates. The other week I was mentioning "Saw" to people and they had no idea what I was talking about. This week I mentioned "Alfie" to people and they once again had no idea what I was talking about.

Obviously the source is excellent, but the low bitrate hurts the video a little. Two repacks and the sound is still messed up where the music will overpower the dialogue at times. No biggie.

The movie itself is better than lots of the crap out there, but still wasn't anything special. Generally, the use of voice-over narration or talking to the camera means either the writers don't know how to write or it means they think their audience are morons. Often both things are true.

Unfinished green-screen scenes should be left in every movie. It adds to the amusement.

the only sound prob i found was when music was on, the voice was on the left speaker, monoing the audio should fix it

to say this is a workprint, its a damn good rip, doesn't make much difference apart from about 5 sec of a green background, the speech seems to go to the left channel when music is on, but this can easily be fixed

9/8/x

would of gone higher for the audio, but due to it being a workprint the sound isn't perfect
