Hmm isn't the extended version about +4 hours ?!?
Checked it and can't really see any new scenes, have u guys seen any?
Usually these should be 4 disc's or even 5 for such a long movie with so much details.
Is it supposed to be the short version but from the extended box set? Just asking.

was grabbing this.. then bought the dvd instead. its £19 so fuck it, i wasted enough discs in the past on various LOTR dvds just to buy the EEs anyway.. was £18 from dvd.co.uk and my friend already has his, even tho its not "out" till teh 12th. so nice and easy for anyone to get this pre

Can't get cd3 to play or load in anything to fix it. Downloaded it twice. Anyone know what's up or how to handle something like this?
you DIDN'T notice any new scenes? wow... so you didn't notice the mouth of sauron, or sarumans death, oh, you didn't see the witch king try to bitch-slap gandalf, or the fate of the hoard commander, or the extended city of the dead scenes... perhaps you grabbed the WRONG release, or fell asleep? (i dunno, apparently i hear it might be possible to fall asleep during this film, but i dont quite believe it...)
Finally got a good copy.
Sound is too low in some quiet scenes.
End credits got chopped, long after the nice artsy part and they were too blurred to read anyway, but I liked the music and didn't liked getting jarred by the cutoff.
9/8/10
Hah di Hah....
EDIT: NO one cares where you get your releases .P
Guess I chose a good one too. And to think the Extended Edition is longer than Ken Brannagh's uncut Hamlet version. Jesus H. Christ. My hair grew a millimeter before I finished this
9.5/7.5/9.5
But this movie's worth it.
PS. The ulcer-covered orc leader is hot! He can give me head any day

Interesting post there, AlecWilting...
This release needed 4 CD's minimum. It's 251 minutes long, so 2510 MB. I'm sure noone would've minded if it were 4 CD. No matter there are other release out there, and you can rent it then rip it even :P
