I agree with you (Stillwater) on the subject of VideoCD being able to flame the groups that they have in their NFO, but by them duing so made them look really stupid in the process. I cannot judge this release or this movie due to my lack of contacts in "the scene" but the JPEG looks quite good and the sound I have no idea. Well see ya!

Angry How about a real review

Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame, Flame.......STFU and rate the quality. These forums shouldn't be there for you to state your own personal allegiance to a group.

If you downloaded the movie, tell us if its a good copy.

...Oh yeah, your not Siskel, no one gives a rats ass what you think of the movie.

WAlk the walk

If your gonna talk the talk ya gotta walk the walk, Lenox Lewis can call mike tyson a pussy, why? because he kicked his ass, like wise video-cd can call whoever whatever they want why? because they just kicked the asses of vigilante ftf and teg-vcd. These groups realed lame copies of the movie. and this version rocks. END OF DISCUSSION

....excellent, variety is the spice of life, not that it makes much difference. I burned the bin's of UTI's RTP and after wasting 2 cd's it was VCDistro's version. Couldn't watch it. I checked and made sure I was getting the version I wanted, and ended up with a mislabeled file. Personally, I like knowing there are other versions out there so I can find the one I want.

It doesn't matter how good or bad someone does it. Someone will do it again and again until the DVD Screener. I don't reckon another version is gonna hurt anyone. No one will die. No one will waste $50 to view it, but many people will do what they do best... complain.

... especially americans

Hey, you just made no fucking sense, UTi NEVER ripped austin powers, so wat are you talking about eh? And as for making fun of americans, you can lick our balls. As for this rip, imho it is by far the best one out, right colors, nice sound, ws, and no watermarks. Imma watch this shit tonight.

Stillwater (the rock band?)
It is not less cool for a release group to flame other group then it is for a member here to do so, nor do they have to get along. The fact of the matter is that anybody who group flames shows nothing but disrespect for the very people supplying there hunger for movies. The difference is they are looked up upen by the masses who will follow there lead. There are enough uneducated group flamers already, we don't need other groups encouraging them to do so. To acuse one groups of recoding and another of being 'shitty at best' is not only disappointing to the rest of the scene but is very ironic concidering their own release history.
There are allot of people who strongly dislike a certain unamed other group for their own reasons, but you don't see them using their NFO files to flame them. They realise that with the attitudes of the other group, at best they will die out and be forgotten about.

Maybe i should put one of my Pre DVDrips out public with an nfo flaming TEG for example. I'm sure if i did that you would not have the same opinion on the actions taken. The only reason you think there is nothing wrong with it is because you probably agree with their views.

When a group flame is made, it matters little what is said, and matter not if it is true or false.

What if the president of the United State of America openly said all the residents of south dekota are stupid? You see my point?

Maybe VideoCD themself should pay special attention to your last comment, it's about the movies and keep personal opinions to themself.

But whateva, enough ramblings...

best release to date. picture quality on a par with tegs audio alot better no glich's. thanks for a fine release. As for the flaming in the nfo.. who cares? flame on as long as you release quality like this.

Posted by Bakkoda on 07-27-2002 05:44 PM:

This release over all is the best out in my opinion. I don't care who put it out or anything like that. I dont know the history of groups because I haven't been on the S/VCD scene long enough so maybe its better that I am impartial.

The video is crisper than most and the audio is the best Ive heard of all the AP3 releases. I think VideoCD did a damn fine job. The only bad thing about this release is the movie itslef. Kind of a sad piece. But that has nothing to do with VideoCD so props to them.

I think from now on the group who releases this should be kept secret until the end of their release, a little credit at the end of the film saying "Relesed by: .... ". I think people would sing a different tune. Instead of "flaming" a release just because its FTF or whoever, especially if you haven't even watched it yet, i think you should shut the hell up. This forum is for VCD Comments. There is a complaints forum so go there if ya feel like being a bitch and whining about free stuff.

looks pretty good for a 5th release

Posted by Ten98 on 07-27-2002 06:07 PM:

Best release by far

Just grabbed this and watched it. I feel sorry for anyone who couldn't wait for a proper TS cos every release up until this one has been NASTY. VideoCD were quite right to slag off the other groups putting out bullshit releases, the scene should strive for QUALITY first, then speed.

Sound is top notch, a proper TS with no clicks, hiss or pops which seems to be getting rarer and rarer these days.

Picture is really clear and smooth, and they even left in the titles at the beginning (nice touch)

One minor niggle is that the brightness/contrast auto adjust has not been deactivated on the camera that was used to film this, whether they did it themselves (in which case they should know better) or simply bought a copy from a street pirate I don't know, it means that in some scenes the colour gets washed out by white.

Not bad for what it is... GJ VideoCD!!

The sample was funny Fook Mi and Fook Yu.

actually what I said was UTi RTP (that's road to perdition genius american). and I never said it was a bad rip, I was stoked for another one to choose from. I like freedom, unlike americans who allow the government to check their email in the name of freedom... HA

having just watched this release this is way better than the previous ones with no sound glitches and pic is top notch too dont waste your time with the other versions even the svcd and stick with this one.

Posted by frak on 07-30-2002 08:55 AM:

the video quality is very watchable and the sound is good too.. however disc 2 has some sound glitches, about a dozen. Not horrible but annoying. Not my player either, since a few others who watched the release reported the same.

Videocd did a good job on this one. Shame the movie sucked, one and two were a lot better.

Since I was bored, I decided to check this release out. One of the better releases I've seen from videocd. Pic and Audio are decent and the release is watchable. For some reason if you cant snag the vig svcd this release is very watchable. Good Job Videocd.
