And no the CTP release was not as good as this.. the picutre was slightly stretched and therfore was too short and and too wide. So yes this release was neccisary. I say every single big name movie needs a decent TS, a Screener or DVD Screener (if available) and a DVD-Rip.... But thats just me

I don't get every release; my interest doesn't extend to things like the new Dana Carvey flick, so I limit myself. However, this release is fucking perfect. The only release I've seen that beats this is the LOTR screener that TCF did in January. It's too bad this is fullscreen, but that's due to the source, not due to encoding problems. This release is what the VHS will look like; not as clear as a DVD, and fullscreen, but jesus, the quality of this release just blows my mind. Someone has a really nice PC with a great videocard to do this. To top it all off, this is a pretty good flick. So, exceptional video + exceptional audio + good movie = best screener released since January. You're doing your connection a disservice by not getting this release.

Why it's better than the CTP SVCD: It's not blue. TS's can only be so good. It seems that all of CTP's releases had the blue factor going on, nature of the beast would be my guess. That's not to say that CTP's stuff was bad, far from it, but TCF is dealing with a VHS tape. Much friendlier to deal with than a theater. Also, as cool as SVCD may be, I prefer VCD as that's what my DVD player will play. I don't like downloading something only to have to spend 8 hours recoding it. That's a personal preference though, and yes, I know that SVCD is all sorts of tits.

Finally got around to watching this one, and it is perfect screener quality...8/8. Movie gets a 9 as it was excellent.

If you downloaded and watched the CTP version and want to know if this is worth downloading, I would say probably not. Wait for the DVD rip. CTP's version was close enough to this one that it would probably not be worth it...unless you have no limitations on what you download, then I'd say go ahead and grab this as it is worth having until the DVD rip comes out. I'm one of those people who will all of a sudden say, "Damn, I'm in the mood to watch <movie>" so always like to have the best copy around...and this is the best copy around to date.

I'll assume since on one posted on it, that i'm the only one have audio trouble, with crackling. Can this remedied?
