Nothing more to be said other than where is a decent Be Cool release TUN. Just Kidding. Great Job on this one. The SAOSIN copy was damn fine and this one is just over the top of theirs NO angle and Super sound. Tun continues to impress us all with their quality. DAMN nice and fast too. Mega PROPS go out to TUN

another great release from TUN 9/9/9

Damn this is fast, though the TS would be the best release for a while.

Quality is nice on this one, nice and clear and colours are good.

Audio is great too, no problems found.

Only fault is TUN's constant use of CBR, making this 3CD's, this film is about 109mins, no need for 3CDs, i know they mention it the NFO, but its nothing to do with quality, its laziness, still a great release though, cheers guys.

9/9/?

So Much better than SAOSIN release!
Couldn`t understand why everyone raving about it, This release you can actually see what happening in dark scenes (which is a big part of movie!) A lot better sound to!
9/8/7.5

Thumbs up

lets put our hands together and give TUN and SAOSIN 3 cheers for their efforts lately. They have churned out a few great quality telecines and telesyncs recently and credit must be given where its due.

Only seen the sample of this one but im pretty sure you cant go wrong no matter what version you grab as TUN'S telecine and SAOSIN'S telesync are both good quality.

all i gotta say is tun is wet

this is a good psycho thriller with lots of action and suspense and very likeable charaters. this is by far the best copy available and its a telecine. "tun, i wanna have your baby"

movie is by telecine standards and not telesync 8.5 video very nice and audio was perfect on my surround sound 8.5 and the movie is 7 out of 10

just my opinion

9 / 8 / 8 .....

These Hostage releases, all so fast and so good. What more can you ask for!!

I really enjoyed the movie too, and even I can't deny the quality of Bruce's acting in this one, especially the numerous tears he sheds throughout. Kinda threw me that did!

Keep up the good work Tasosin, TUN and all you other sceners.

Amazing quality video. I often forgot I was watching a Telecine rather than a DVD Rip.

Video was amazing, great colors and wonderful definition. It had a slight wobbling every now and then, but that's to be expected with a Telecine. The only issue I had with it was that in a few places there was a horizontal line across the video, which appeared to be some sort of encoding glitch rather than a flaw in the source. Still, solid 9.5. Too bad the vote system doesn't have that option.

Audio was crisp, vibrant and full. I heard the highest highs and the lowest lows, and the volume was fine. I'd give this a 10 for quality, but...

I'm sure a lot of people haven't noticed this, but the framerate on this movie is wrong, all wrong. This is encoded as a 25fps PAL SVCD; however, it was obvious to me after listening to a few parts in the movie that the framerate hadn't been converted from 23.976fps, only sped up. European theaters do this because they think nobody will notice.

Want proof? The movie is split into three files of lengths 40:13, 40:14 and 28:00, adding up to about 108.5m. IMDB for the film says it has a runtime of 113m. Divide 108.5 by 23.976, multiply it by 25 and you get 113. (and change)

Anyway, I'm surprised nobody in TUN noticed this. It wouldn't have taken much effort to convert it to the proper framerate, probably a few options checked in the encoder settings. Nonetheless, TUN has done an amazing job with this one. Like I said, I often forgot I was watching a Telecine rather than a DVD Rip.

Oh yeah, movie was damn enjoyable. A welcome return of Bruce Willis action movies. Solid 9.

Final result: 9.5/9/9
