to be honest, the sound sucks, its got a hollow tinny noise to it.
Pic is pretty good. but sound is just to bleh
Looks ok, not the best ever, but nice and clear, and very well framed.
Sound is ok, but not exactly gonna excite u on a Home Theatre setup.
8/7/?
As for Star Wars, id never watch anything less than a retail DVD of Star Wars or see it at the cinema, so im not bothered who/if releases that

star wars got to be seen at the cinema there no argument.
good release props.

Not bad at all
Great release. 8/6/6. Movie isn't half bad but not as good as the books.
As far as SW3 goes, I doubt any group will touch it with a 10 foot pole. Lucas is the kind of guy who would actually see to it people get arrested for pirating his work. He is a notorious control freak.
Good.
8/8/?

Alrighty , gonna be the odd poster here as usual but saying it how it is.
This isnt the same copy as VideoCD's (picture) for those in question. This is alot clearer then VideoCD's CAM , and CD2 of Centropy's copy some ... forget the vcdQ term (idiot) with an afro keeps popping his head up bottom left screen.
The picture as mentioned is alot clearer then the past copies out. Dark flickering around the edges and motionblurness common in TELESYNC's , picture seems a bit bright , color are good, goes in & outta autofocus slightly. Main issue with the picture for me is the overcropping. All of CD1 & CD2 there is half heads , half bodies all over the screen. (same thing SAOSiN got nuked for on Hitch).
The Sound , well DTS Days are over so take what you can get (direct wise), as mentioned its not gunna rock the home entertaiment center , has a constant hum to it, overall is direct.
This is the best copy out for now , even though overcropped , is very watchable. This copy is much better then their Ice Princess & A Lot Like Love (quality wise) , but still not up to usual Centropy par.
Final Word: Best Copy out so far & will do till TELECiNE/Scr/RETAiL
As a TS
6 for overcropping /7 direct with a hum / 2 not my kinda movie
Nice release from an old friend. Pretty bright overall, but for what they are camming (extreme high contrast white spaceship walls), it would be extremely hard to fix it without the rest of the movie looking dark. Nice enough colours, etc.
8/8/6 (The BBC one was better)
IS THEIR PEOPLE WALKING THROUGHT IT
is their people walkin through video please tell me
Watched 35 minutes so far , Video is pretty decent for a telesync, audio is alittle weak and has a low humming / buzz (most noticable during quiet scenes) Movie itself is interesting so far.
7.5/6/8
Ran this one side by side with the CAM - videoCD and the cropping is the same, but it isnt the same source, as this one has a head popping in and out of the bottom left of screen, still this is the best copy as the sound is sharper and the screen is clearer.
good work centropy, you must've been pissed off with the twat factor... otherwise this would've been mint.

movie - a dissapointment - 6
I almost agree with Fire, the sound doesn't suck, but there is a distinct humming going on. I've tried it with more than one unit to make sure. The video is nice and clean, cleaner than the VCD release. The sound is better, since it isn't a cam, but this time I can hear a hum. Still, a good release overall and thank you. Video is actually better then the usual CTP release, they out did themselves on this one.

Caught this in theatres and enjoyed it a good bit (hadn't read the books in probably 10 years, though). From this release video's washed out, but totally watchable, but the audio seems a bit odd, like it's maybe only the center channel of the mix. Vocals are way higher than incidental music / sound effects, and low frequency effects are cut out entirely.
7/7/8
just finished watching this - and if you burn and watch on your standalone dvd player - it's fine and watchable
8/7/6ish - was let down by the film in the end
PS has anyone noticed that it's hiCkers - cant believe some of the reviewers on here haven't noticed a mistake like that when they are oh so perfect and know everything

Is this a UK film???
